Senior Consultant, Business Planning & Executive Insights

Overview

Our client is a leading technology platform in Southeast Asia, operating across multiple markets and business verticals. The company serves millions of users and businesses through a broad ecosystem of technology-enabled services.

The organisation is looking for an experienced strategy and business-planning professional to join its regional business function and help translate complex business performance data into clear insights, executive-level recommendations, and strategic actions.

Role Description

1. Business Performance Analysis & Data Storytelling

• Synthesize GMV, revenue, EBITDA, and vertical performance across markets.

• Identify key trends, drivers, risks, and trade-offs behind the numbers.

• Develop narratives for business reviews, Annual Operating Plan, and three-year planning.

• Personally structure and create concise, decision-oriented leadership presentations.

• Explain what happened, why it happened, and what should happen next.

2. Strategic Planning & Business Initiatives

The team already has experienced owners for planning forums, PMO coordination, and day-to-day workstream management. This role adds value through strategic synthesis, constructive challenge, and delivery of high-impact initiatives.

• Challenge country and vertical plans, assumptions, and interventions.

• Support annual and three-year planning through targets, scenarios, and waterfalls.

• Develop business cases, demand forecasts, and go-to-market strategies.

• Lead selected strategic partner or ecosystem initiatives.

• Coordinate senior cross-functional stakeholders and resolve strategic trade-offs.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in strategy, business planning, management consulting, commercial strategy, finance strategy, or strategic initiatives.

• Proven ability to turn complex or conflicting data into a simple, compelling business narrative.

• Strong experience personally creating executive presentations and leadership slides.

• Experience shaping business cases, strategic plans, and multi-market initiatives.

• Strong judgement, structured problem-solving, and visual communication skills.
