Senior Analyst, Sourcing Consumer Electronics (Entertainment)
As a Senior Analyst, Sourcing Consumer Electronics (Entertainment), you will play a key role in bringing products to our customers. You&aposll support the sourcing process for Consumer Electronics Category at Walmart. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sourcing, understand supplier relationships, and contribute to complex order execution processes. You&aposll work closely with various teams to ensure products meet our standards and reach our customers effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Streamline and manage a comprehensive Private Brand sourcing strategy and supplier matrix to optimize sales, profit and market share by supporting Every Day Low Prices strategy.
- Support coordination with retail teams for buying trips and help manage important issues throughout the order execution process.
- Monitor factory capability and capacity, ensuring product quality and on-time delivery by tracking progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the product development process, from initial ideas to final production.
- Work with global sourcing teams on shared tasks and projects.
- Help cultivate supplier relationships through communication and project oversight.
- Support supplier assessments and help maintain the optimal supplier list for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to understand basic business needs and support solution development.
- Demonstrate awareness of global trade developments for assigned geographies and incorporate into sourcing proposals.
- Understand buying objectives and specifications, components, component suppliers (upstreaming), production, construction and communicate with suppliers.
- Assist in managing and resolving sourcing and operational issues related to costing and quality for omnichannel products.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure supplier capability meets business demands.
- Guide partners and suppliers to achieve product quality, delivery, and pricing targets by providing necessary information.
- Support Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, including gathering information and basic negotiation.
- Partner with Quality Teams to address and resolve product quality concerns.
- Support the presentation of sourcing solutions that manage risks and maintain profitability.
- Assist in evaluating supplier performance against company standards and policies.
- Utilize basic understanding of cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in cost, quality, and delivery performance by collaborating with teams to identify best practices.
- Participate in critical order placement decisions by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Learn and expand product and market knowledge, along with industry expertise, to identify potential new suppliers and product opportunities.
- Collect and share market intelligence with internal teams.
- Apply digital tools and new methodologies to support sourcing activities.
- Support streamlining of strategic sourcing and procurement processes for efficiency.
- Analyze data using available tools to contribute to data-backed proposals and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (Mandarin is a plus)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing, retail, or sourcing support role, with an emphasis on serving major U.S. retail customers (either directly or through an importer/agent).
- Demonstrated interest in business development and a strong attention to detail in areas like sourcing, finance, and supply chain.
- Proven ability to build effective working relationships both internally and externally.
- Basic understanding of manufacturer, merchant, and customer needs, and how these contribute to business opportunities.
- Proactive in identifying and communicating information to team members and stakeholders.
- Analytical thinking skills, capable of understanding business information and contributing to data-driven decisions.
- Organized and dedicated, able to take ownership of tasks and drive towards results.
