About The Role
As a Senior Analyst, Sourcing - Apparel, you will play a key role in bringing products to our members by supporting the sourcing process for the Apparel category. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to complex order execution processes. You&aposll work closely with various cross-functional teams to ensure products meet our standards and are delivered efficiently.
What You&aposll Do
- Assist in managing Private Brand sourcing strategies and maintaining supplier information to support our Everyday Low Price (EDLP) strategy.
- Support the coordination of buying trips and the resolution of issues throughout the order execution process.
- Monitor factory capability and capacity, track progress, and ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate the product development process, from initial ideas to final production.
- Work with global sourcing teams on shared tasks and projects.
- Help cultivate supplier relationships through clear communication and project oversight.
- Support supplier assessments and help maintain an optimal supplier list for assigned categories.
- Collaborate with business partners and suppliers to understand business needs and support solution development.
- Track global trade developments for assigned regions and share relevant information with the team.
- Assist in managing and resolving sourcing and operational issues related to costing and quality.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives to ensure supplier capability meets business demands.
- Conduct thorough follow-up on all sourcing activities in collaboration with support teams and suppliers.
- Support Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes.
- Partner with Merchandise Quality Engineers to address and resolve product quality concerns.
- Utilize a basic understanding of cost structures to identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Participate in critical order placement decisions by preparing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Learn and expand product and market knowledge to identify potential new suppliers and product opportunities.
- Collect and share market intelligence with internal teams.
- Apply digital tools and new methodologies to support sourcing activities.
- Analyze data using available tools to contribute to data-backed proposals and recommendations.
What You&aposll Bring
- A bachelors degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing, retail, or sourcing support role, with an emphasis on serving major U.S. retail customers.
- Demonstrated interest in business development and a strong attention to detail.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
- A proactive approach to identifying and communicating information to team members and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage information and contribute to data-driven decisions.
- A curious mindset, eagerness to learn, and the ability to innovate and take thoughtful risks.
