Senior AI Engineer Adoption (background Backend)

JOB PURPOSE

Designs and develops the SDLC automation platform and AI-powered tools for Tech & Product and for Enterprise POS (EPOS) – a SaaS product for pharmacies, clinics and retail – in order to drive the AI-first approach, raise engineering productivity and shorten release cycles.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

1. SDLC AUTOMATION PLATFORM

• Design the architecture of and develop the SDLC automation platform (code generation, code review, testing, CI/CD and release) to shorten lead time from requirement to release.
• Integrate the platform with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure to keep automated flows stable and controlled.

2. INTERNAL AI TOOLS AND AGENTS

• Develop internal tools and integrations that use LLMs and AI agents to automate repetitive tasks and raise engineering productivity.
• Design context-provisioning mechanisms (source code, documentation, internal standards) for AI tools to improve output accuracy and reusability.

3. GOLANG BACKEND SERVICES FOR THE PLATFORM AND EPOS AI FEATURES

• Develop and maintain Golang backend services for the automation platform and for AI features in EPOS to ensure performance, security and scalability.
• Collaborate to deliver AI features into EPOS under the approved architecture to increase product value for customers.

4. AI ADOPTION STANDARDS AND TRAINING

• Propose AI adoption standards and guidelines (prompting, review of AI-generated output, data and code security) to ensure safe and consistent AI use.
• Train, demo and coach the engineering team on AI tools to raise AI adoption across Tech & Product.

5. AI ADOPTION IMPACT MEASUREMENT

• Track and analyze metrics – AI tool adoption rate, cycle time, deployment frequency, code quality and AI usage cost – to assess adoption impact.
• Report results regularly and propose improvement actions to inform Tech & Product AI investment decisions.

6. AI RESEARCH AND EVALUATION

• Research, prototype (proof of concept) and evaluate new AI tools and models against quality, cost and security criteria to propose practical solutions.

7. OTHER DUTIES

• Perform other duties assigned by the line manager, within professional scope, to support overall EPOS operations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree or higher, Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in backend engineering, with strong Golang.
• Experience building platforms or internal tooling, including CI/CD and DevOps automation (Docker, Kubernetes, Git workflows).
• Good understanding of the SDLC and engineering best practices.
• A real interest in AI, with hands-on use of LLM APIs, AI coding tools or agents.
• A self-starter who can turn ideas into working solutions quickly.

Nice to have

• Experience with RAG, agent frameworks or MCP.
• Experience driving tool or process adoption across engineering teams.
• Domain experience in retail, POS or SaaS.
