Role summary:
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to grow sales of adhesives for flexible packaging across Vietnam and South-East Asia. The successful candidate will own account acquisition and growth, manage distributor relationships, provide technical sales support for converters and packaging houses, and hit regional revenue & margin targets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute commercial strategy for adhesives used in flexible packaging (lamination adhesives, hotmelt/solvent/water-based adhesives as relevant).
- Identify, qualify and close new business with converters, co-packers, brand owners and packaging suppliers across Vietnam and SEA.
- Manage and develop distribution/partner network, set targets, train distributor sales teams and track performance.
- Provide technical sales support: run trials, relay customer requirements to R&D/technical service, ensure successful scale-up.
- Build accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management in CRM.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms while protecting margin.
- Track competitor activity and market trends; recommend product or pricing adjustments.
- Represent the company at trade shows and customer visits; travel 3050% (as required).
Must-have (non-negotiable)
- 5+ years B2B sales experience selling adhesives, coatings, resins, or chemical specialties to the flexible-packaging/convertors industry in Vietnam or SEA.
- Proven track record of selling to converters, laminators or brand owners (references or named wins preferred).
- Technical understanding of adhesive types and application/process constraints (lamination, extrusion lamination, pouch making, seal strength, heat/solvent resistance).
- Experience managing distributors and channel partners.
- Fluent Vietnamese; strong English (business level) for regional coordination.
- Strong negotiations skills and CRM discipline.
Nice-to-have
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials, Chemistry, or Business with technical exposure.
- Existing relationships with key converters/packaging groups in SEA.
- Experience with regulatory/food contact requirements relevant to packaging.
