Job Definition
The Sales Manager understands the country market of packaging and plastic closures and actively develops business opportunities in both the Food & Beverage and Industrial segments. He/she works closely with the Regional Business Development Directors to acquire new customers and supports existing local accounts in collaboration with the Customer Service teams and Technical Service
Performance Criteria
The performance is primarily measured by the development of sales and direct margin in both segments (Food & Beverage and Industrial) and the improvement of market share.
Job Responsibility
1.Manage key accounts in both segments effectively:
- Maintains close contact with assigned customers
- Understands customers needs and negotiates expectations
- Ensures prompt supply from primary or alternative sources in the Group
- Provides prompt and effective service to customers
- Ensures timely payment from customers
2.Understand customer needs and requirements in both segments to:
- Offer suitable quotations
- Close deals in consultation with General Director and/or Commercial Directors
3.Gather and analyze market development information in both segments:
- Network with other Group sales/account managers
- Monitor customer development and industry trends
- Survey, benchmark, and formulate sales strategies and forecasts
4.Provide market and customer insights to Commercial Directors to support strategic updates
5.Actively engage in new business development:
- Lead promotional activities such as exhibitions and conferences
- Develop new markets and penetrate competitor accounts
- Promote and market new products for both segments
6.Maintain a working knowledge of the manufacturing process to:
- Coordinate effectively with operations
- Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer needs
- Lead management of new projects
7.Maintain detailed records of sales activities using SAP and submit timely visit reports
8.Carry out other assignments as directed by the General Director
Competency Requirement
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or Packaging Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in Marketing & Sales for both Food & Beverage and Industrial closures
- At least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
- Advantageous to have experience in related industrial packaging and closure technology
- Experience in high-level B2B sales negotiations
