Job Description Sales engineer

Location: ProMinent Vietnam Ho Chi Minh City office

The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling ProMinent's dosing system, disinfection, and fluid control solutions across key sectors such as Wastewater, chemical, electrochemistry, EPC/ Contractors. Fulfil sales plan to meet or exceed the achievement of sales budget and objectives, by promoting ProMinent brand and improving product coverage, ensuring market penetration, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Business Development

  • According to segment cluster strategy and business development planning, consult, negotiate, and sell (technical & commercial) ProMinent applications, systems, and products to achieve individual sales targets and KPIs.
  • Cooperate closely with customers, agents, and design institutes to promote solutions and close sales.
  • Explore market opportunities, develop new customers, and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Follow up and take responsibility for key projects and key customers in the assigned region & Industries
  • Coordinate internal and external resources (Service, Technical, Logistics, Management) to meet project and sales objectives.
  • Explore the market and business opportunities, responsible for the development of new customers in the region and maintain the relationship with existing customers

B. Market & Customer Insights

  • Identify and report customer requirements, market trends, and competitors activities.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and retention through professional engagement and timely support.
  • Participate in industry trade fairs, seminars, and technical meetings to introduce/promote products and build new customer connections.

C. Sales Operations & Documentation

  • Prepare quotations, commercial offers, and contracts; follow up until deal closure.
  • Use CRM proficiently: create customer accounts, track sales leads, manage opportunities, update pipelines, and submit visit reports.
  • Support the Finance team to ensure timely collection of accounts receivable.
  • Ensure all sales behaviors comply with ProMinent Group policies, Viet Nam Code of Ethics, local laws, and social responsibility standards.

D. Other Tasks

  • Follow and implement other tasks assigned by manager.

3. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 35 years of experience in technical sales, industrial equipment sales, or B2B solutions.
  • Strong technical understanding and ability to conduct professional product discussions.
  • Experience in water treatment, chemical dosing, pumps, water disinfection system, instrumentation, or industrial automation.
  • Good English communication (email, documents, speaking is a plus).
  • Customer-oriented, proactive, and result-driven.
  • Willing to travel frequently for customer visits and site surveys.
  • Professional, ethical working behavior.
  • Sales experience of metering pumps / MCT / disinfection etc is preferred.
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Adapt to long-term travel, work under high intensity and high stress.
  • Strong business writing.
  • Fluent English is preferred.

4. Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with project sales, design institutes, EPCs, or industrial plants.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
