Rust Software Engineer

LOCATION: Hanoi/HCMC

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Design, build and maintain high-performance financial systems and backend services in Rust.
• Work on core financial infrastructure including modelling and calculation engines, scenario and simulation systems, financial data processing, analytics and APIs.
• Build reliable, deterministic and well-tested systems where correctness, performance and observability are critical.
• Translate complex financial and domain requirements into maintainable software in collaboration with product, data and domain specialists.
• Contribute to system design, implementation, testing and code reviews.
• Help improve engineering practices, code quality and system performance across the team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience building production systems with Rust.
• Strong understanding of Rust fundamentals including ownership, borrowing, traits, error handling, testing and concurrency.
• Experience designing and building production backend or systems software, including APIs, data processing or computational services.
• Ability to reason about complex domain logic and translate business or mathematical requirements into reliable software.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to working with engineering, product, data and domain specialists.
• Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with computationally intensive, data-intensive or performance-sensitive systems, including profiling, benchmarking, parallelism or memory optimization.
• Experience in fintech, wealth management, trading, payments, insurance, financial services or other regulated domains.
• Experience with financial modelling, quantitative systems, pricing, risk, simulation, portfolio analytics or calculation engines.
• Experience with market data, trading systems, portfolio management or financial APIs.
• Open-source Rust contributions.
