Ruby On Rails Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our engineering team in building and maintaining scalable backend applications.You will work on customer-facing features, backend services, data-intensive applications and integrations with external systems. The role also involves improving application performance, code quality and system reliability while working closely with Product Managers and other Engineers in a global environment.

Working Location: 11 Doan Van Bo, Xom Chieu, Ho Chi Minh

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications and backend services.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and integrations with external/third-party systems.
• Design and optimize MySQL databases, queries, and data processing.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.
• Develop automated tests, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate root causes, and improve application performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system improvements.
• Contribute to CI/CD, Docker-based development, and deployment workflows.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and high-quality solutions.

Job Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and MySQL.
• Good understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and Clean Code.
• Experience with API development and third-party integrations.
• Experience with automated testing and debugging complex applications.
• Understanding of web application security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good English communication skills and ability to work in a global team.
• Nice to HaveExperience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of Microservices architecture.
• Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Basic knowledge of Next.js or frontend technologies.
• Experience working with large-scale applications or high-volume data.
