Retek (Oracle Retail) Solution Architect

Key Responsibilities 

- Lead and validate Gap Analysis between the current state (NAV/LS Retail) and target state (Oracle Retail/Retek), covering functional, integration, and data gaps. 

- Define Migration Strategy: wave/cutover sequencing, LS Retail → Retek data mapping at table/field level, and risk mitigation planning. 

- Coordinate with the client's vendor/implementation partner on Oracle Retek technology stack (Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, Pro*C) for any required customizations, and validate development effort estimates against real technical complexity. 

- Provide technical feasibility input for Development effort estimation and scope trade-off discussions.  

Required Experience 

- 6+ years in Solution Architecture roles, including at least 3 years specifically on Oracle Retail (RMS/Retek), or a comparable enterprise retail merchandising platform. 

- Working fluency in Oracle Forms, PL/SQL, and Pro*C — RMS's native technology stack — sufficient to review and validate technical designs and development estimates (hands-on coding not required at this level, but genuine fluency is). 

- Familiarity with Oracle Database architecture (19c or comparable). 

- Experience with retail integration middleware patterns — batch/ETL tooling (e.g. Oracle Data Integrator) and real-time messaging/ESB patterns (e.g. Oracle Service Bus or equivalent). 

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV/Business Central (or a comparable legacy ERP) architecture, sufficient to scope migration and interface work. 

- Demonstrated experience leading at least one full system migration or implementation for a multi-store retail organization — regional or multinational retail experience strongly preferred. 

- Experience navigating ERP-to-ERP or Finance system transitions (e.g. legacy ERP to Oracle Fusion Cloud or similar) is highly valued.
