Work schedule: Monday to Friday · 5-day work week
Work arrangement: Full-time · Client-facing
Reporting to: Head of Business Development / Senior Management
Candidate profile: Open to all genders · Relevant industry experience is essential
Salary: 40 - 55 million (band may be reviewed upward for demonstrated AI-tool fluency in client management)
The Opportunity
Our client is an established Hong Kong-headquartered financial group with offices across Southeast Asia,
comprising licensed entities regulated by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for dealing in
securities, advising on securities and asset management. The group provides investment and wealth solutions —
including an external asset manager (EAM) offering in partnership with major international private banks — to
pension funds, foundations, endowments, corporations and high-net-worth individuals worldwide, with several
billion USD in assets under management. The organisation is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager who
can originate new business, deepen trusted client relationships, and use AI-powered tools to cover a broader book of
clients with sharper, faster service.
Key Responsibilities
Core Relationship Management
● Develop and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth, affluent and international private clients.
● Source new business through an established network, referrals, partnerships, events and disciplined
prospecting.
● Understand each client's objectives, risk profile, liquidity needs and investment horizon through structured
fact-finding.
● Present suitable wealth and investment solutions in partnership with internal investment, product and
advisory teams.
● Build long-term client confidence through responsive service, regular reviews and clear communication.
● Coordinate onboarding, documentation, KYC/AML checks and account-opening requirements accurately
and promptly, in line with Hong Kong SFC regulatory standards.
● Monitor the client pipeline, maintain complete CRM records and provide reliable activity and revenue
forecasts.
● Stay informed on markets, portfolio developments, products, regulations and competitor activity.
● Work closely with investment, operations, compliance and management teams to resolve client matters.
● Meet agreed targets for new assets, revenue, client acquisition, retention and relationship quality without
compromising suitability or compliance.
AI-Augmented Responsibilities (New Scope)
● Use AI-powered CRM features (e.g. Salesforce Einstein, HubSpot AI or equivalent) to flag at-risk clients,
surface next-best-action prompts and prioritise the daily call list.
● Use AI research tools to prepare pre-meeting client briefs — recent news, portfolio context and talking
points — cutting prep time per meeting.
● Draft first versions of client communications, proposal decks and portfolio review summaries using AI
writing tools, then personalise and finalise before sending.
● Use AI-assisted market and sector summarisation tools to stay current on relevant developments without
manually reading every source.
● Apply AI-based pipeline analytics to improve the accuracy of activity and revenue forecasts shared with
management.
● Use AI transcription/summarisation for client calls and meetings (with appropriate client consent) to ensure
CRM notes and follow-ups are complete and timely.
● Leverage AI tools to identify cross-sell and referral opportunities within the existing book based on client
profile patterns.
● Treat all AI-assisted output as a draft requiring the Relationship Manager's own suitability judgement,
compliance review and client-specific tailoring before any client-facing use — AI never substitutes for
KYC/AML diligence or advice suitability.
Requirements
● At least 3–5 years of relationship management, private wealth, asset management, investment advisory,
private banking or closely related financial-services experience.
● A demonstrable client network and track record in acquiring, retaining or growing affluent and high-networth relationships.
● Sound understanding of investment products, portfolio concepts, risk profiling and client suitability.
● Strong knowledge of KYC, AML and ethical sales practices within SFC-regulated financial services;
existing SFC licence (or eligibility to be licensed) is an advantage.
● Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
● Commercially driven, self-motivated and disciplined in pipeline management and follow-up.
● Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; relevant professional licences or qualifications
are advantageous.
● Strong English capability; additional Asian languages and cross-border client experience are advantageous.
● Familiarity with the external asset manager (EAM) model and working with international private banking
partners is an advantage.
● Working familiarity with AI-powered CRM, research or drafting tools, or a demonstrated willingness to
adopt them quickly — training will be provided.
● Sound judgement on where AI tools speed up service and where compliance, suitability and human
relationship-building must lead.
Performance Indicators
● New qualified clients and assets introduced.
● Revenue contribution and quality of the active opportunity pipeline.
● Client retention, engagement and service responsiveness.
● Accuracy, timeliness and compliance of client documentation and CRM records.
● Effective, compliant use of AI tools to improve coverage, response times and forecast accuracy without
compromising suitability or confidentiality.
Ideal Candidate
A credible relationship builder who combines commercial hunger with discretion, product understanding and a
client-first mindset — and who is comfortable putting AI tools to work to cover more ground, while keeping
- judgement, compliance and the human relationship firmly in their own hands.
