Lead, Influence and Grow Our Presence Across North Vietnam

Lead our North Vietnam Representative Office and drive member growth, stakeholder engagement and market development across North Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

As the organisation's key representative in the region, you will build strategic relationships with government, industry and education partners while leading a small, high-performing team.

About The Role

As Regional Manager, North Vietnam, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Representative Office while leading a high-performing team of professionals.

You will be responsible for strengthening stakeholder relationships, supporting member engagement and retention, driving new member acquisition, and representing the organisation with key external audiences throughout North Vietnam.

Acting as the Chief Representative for Hanoi and North Vietnam, you will play a critical role in maintaining regulatory compliance, fostering government and industry relationships, and enhancing the organisation's market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement & Representation

  • Build and maintain relationships with government, industry, education and member stakeholders.
  • Represent the organisation at key meetings, events and forums.
  • Support advocacy efforts and provide market insights to strengthen organisational influence.

Membership Growth & Business Development

  • Drive member acquisition, engagement and retention across North Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with employers, universities and industry organisations.
  • Identify growth opportunities and support targeted business development initiatives.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach and develop a small member services and events team.
  • Foster a high-performing, member-focused culture.
  • Drive accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Representative Office Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Representative Office.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and organisational policies.
  • Manage budgets, resources and operational risks effectively.

About You

To succeed in this role, you are a well-connected and commercially astute leader with a strong understanding of the North Vietnam market and a proven ability to build influential relationships across government, industry, education and professional networks. You bring a strategic mindset, sound knowledge of the local regulatory environment, and a track record of driving growth through stakeholder engagement, business development and market expansion initiatives.

You will bring:

  • Strong networks across North Vietnam and a deep understanding of the local market.
  • Experience engaging with government, industry and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven success in business development, partnerships or membership growth.
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • A strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Education or a related discipline.

  • Big Four consulting or professional services.
  • Government, trade bodies or industry associations.
  • Membership-based organisations or chambers of commerce.
  • Business development, external affairs or strategic partnership roles.
