Job Description

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Measure quantities of all trades accurately

· Building up unit rates for estimating purposes

· Request quotations from suppliers

· Prepare BQs, Cost Estimates, Tender Document etc to a high standard

· Review Tender Submissions and prepare Tender Reports

· Prepare Cost Reports to a high standard

· Help to manage and improve the cost information database

· Assess the validity and value of project variations

· Review and agree interim payment applications from contractors

JOB REQUIREMENT

Education:

· University Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Economic Engineering.

· QS Cost Engineering Certificate preferred.

Knowledge:

· Good working knowledge of MS Office software and design software.

· Good working knowledge of Cubicost preferred.

Experience:

· 5-7 years of experience preferred.

Skills/competencies & preferred characteristics:

· Fluent English (written and spoken)

· Accurate and detailed working ethic

· Good communication, time management and problem-solving skills

· Confident and outgoing personality, with a pro-active approach to work

· Honest, Responsible and Decisive

· Ability to work with all levels of employees and management

· Be comfortable in a team environment, and be flexible with work assignments
