Quality Engineer

Wahl Vietnam is a subsidiary of Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Quality Specialist.

Reporting : Wahl Vietnam's QA Manager

Missions :

Monitor and improve the quality of operational processes and outputs. Supporting all quality functions not only in-house but also with suppliers in developing a robust quality system.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Quality Standards for new product and processes:
• Define new product requirements and ensure they are met throughout the production process.
• Establish and implement quality control systems for new products and processes.

• Supervise Inspections and Tests:
• Perform routine inspections and quality tests to identify defects or deviations from standards.
• Use various tools and techniques to ensure product quality and compliance.

• Root Cause Analysis:
• Investigate quality issues to determine their root causes.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance quality.
• Lead quality improvement projects and monitor their effectiveness.

• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain detailed records of quality issues, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Prepare reports and communicate findings to management and other stakeholders.

• Training and Support:
• Provide training to staff on quality control processes and standards.
• Support cross-functional teams in implementing quality initiatives.

• Compliance and Audits:
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in internal and external audits to verify adherence to quality standards.

• Evaluate QC Inspector performance.
• Assess the performance of QC staff.
• Provide feedback and improvement plans.

• Maintain Data in System:
• Enter and update product information in the system.
• Ensure data is accurate and timely.

• Equipment In Charge:
• Manage and maintain inspection equipment.
• Ensure equipment is always in good working condition and calibrated.

Other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

• University degree – Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role
• Ability to provide technical supports and guidance to quality team to resolve quality issues
• Microsoft Excel or other statistical tools – ability to communicate data and results in a clear and professional way.
• Experience with electric certifications (UL, ETL, CSA, and European Compliance Standards) preferred.
• ISO 9001: 2015, WCM systemt experiences is referred
• Proactive to anticipate problems and quickly find solution
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Databased approach
• Experience in QA analysis tools (5Why, 4M, diagram, etc.) and related software.
• Good collaboration and communication skills
• Bi-lingual with good reading, writing & negotiation skills in English & Vietnamese
