About us:

XSofts is a software development company that creates advanced Point of Sale (POS) solutions for the US retail and hospitality industries. Its platform helps businesses manage omnichannel sales, track inventory in real time, engage customers through loyalty tools, and gain actionable insights with reporting and analytics, all through a centralized, user-friendly system.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Planning & Execution: Design, document, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios for web and mobile E-commerce/Retail/POS platforms.
Feature Validation: Conduct thorough functional, regression, integration, and UI/UX testing across different modules (Product Catalog, Shopping Cart, Checkout/Payment Gateway, User Accounts, and Promotions).
Bug Management: Identify, document, and track defects using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Asana), ensuring clear communication and resolution.
Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with product teams to review requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage.
User Experience Advocacy: Perform exploratory testing to identify usability issues and suggest improvements to enhance the customer journey.
Cross-Browser & Device Testing: Ensure consistent performance across various web browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) and mobile devices (iOS/Android).
Reporting: Provide clear, concise status reports to stakeholders on test progress and overall product quality.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of manual software testing experience.
1+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Experience in the E-commerce or Retail/POS domain is strongly preferred.
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of E-commerce workflows, including payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, etc.), order management, inventory systems, and discount logic.
Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in writing and maintaining test documentation (Test Plans, Test Cases, Bug Reports).

o Experience using Chrome DevTools for basic troubleshooting.

o Familiarity with SQL for basic database queries (checking orders/user data).

Soft Skills:

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Close attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred

Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
Basic knowledge of test automation concepts (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
Experience in performance or security testing.
