Job Description

Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for supporting quality assurance, food safety, and product inspection activities across Vietnam operations to ensure compliance with Del Monte quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. Initially, the role will focus on other fruit inspection, food safety monitoring, and quality documentation, while progressively expanding to support fresh-cut operations as the business develops. The position reports to the Supervisor, Quality Assurance and works closely with Operations and Management to maintain quality and food safety standards. In the longer term, the role may occasionally rotate to support fresh produce quality assurance activities based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality inspections on incoming materials, products, and shipments to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Support food safety, hygiene, sanitation, traceability, and quality documentation programs.
  • Monitor and report quality issues, perform defect classification, and support corrective actions.
  • Support fresh-cut operations, including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and finished product evaluation as the business develops.
  • Coordinate with operations, suppliers, and logistics teams to maintain quality and food safety standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and occasionally provide QA support for fresh produce operations when required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Food Technology, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Fresh Produce, Fresh-Cut, Food Processing, or Cannery Operations.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection, food safety systems, hygiene, traceability, and quality documentation.
  • Experience in Food Safety Certifications and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in fresh-cut, cannery, or food processing operations is preferred.
  • Good communication, reporting, and MS Office skills with medium to high English proficiency.
  • Willingness to travel and support different operational locations as required.
