Job Description
About the role
- We are looking for a QA Analyst / Business Analyst to join our team and take ownership of quality across business-critical applications.
- This is a QA-first hybrid role, combining strong hands-on QC with solid Business Analysis skills. You'll be the first to review an incoming ticket or requirement — investigating the issue, understanding the business context, and determining whether it is a genuine defect, expected behaviour, or a new requirement before it reaches development.
- Our platforms support two established businesses: a commercial furniture installation and logistics company and a circular-economy consultancy for fit-out projects, covering project delivery, warehousing, logistics, asset auditing, reuse, and reporting. One platform is also being rebuilt on a new technology stack, with migration running alongside ongoing feature development.
What you will do
- Triage and investigate: Reproduce reported issues, identify root causes where possible, and classify them as defects, expected behaviour, or new requirements before handing them to developers.
- Clarify requirements: Resolve ambiguity, identify missing or conflicting requirements, map workflows, and define clear, testable acceptance criteria before development starts.
- Test end-to-end: Design and execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing across both platforms, including positive/negative scenarios, boundary conditions, invalid data, and permission-related cases.
- Validate business rules and data: Verify business logic, access permissions, API responses, data, and reporting behaviour, including background-processed or eventually consistent data.
- Support migration and UAT: Compare legacy and new-system behaviour, validate migrated data, mappings and relationships, and support UAT activities.
- Manage defects: Report issues with clear steps, expected vs. actual results, severity, evidence, and business impact; verify fixes and escalate only where a genuine business decision is required.
Who we are looking for
- 3+ years of combined QA/QC and Business Analysis experience, with strong hands-on QC capability and solid BA judgement.
- Strong experience in manual testing of business web applications, including designing test cases and test plans rather than simply executing predefined scripts.
- Good understanding of test design techniques, including boundary-value and negative testing, and experience managing the full defect lifecycle in an issue-tracking tool.
- Comfortable testing beyond the UI using REST/JSON APIs, browser DevTools, and basic SQL for data validation.
- Able to turn ambiguous requirements into clear documentation, user stories, workflows, and testable acceptance criteria, and translate business needs effectively for developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on an assigned feature or module with limited supervision.
- Strong written and spoken English is essential, with the ability to work directly with international business stakeholders.
- Experience with data migration, legacy modernisation, or UAT is a plus.
- Exposure to test automation such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or API automation is an advantage, although this role is primarily focused on manual and exploratory testing.
- Experience with role-based access, multi-client data, reporting/BI, or the ability to read code at a high level is a plus.
- Familiarity with Jira, Monday.com, browser DevTools, SQL clients, API testing tools, Git/Bitbucket, Power BI, or test-management tools is beneficial.
What we offer
- Attractive and competitive performance-based compensation package.
- Full gross salary during probation.
- Generous 13-month salary and dedication bonus.
- Comprehensive healthcare insurance package and annual health check-ups.
- Flexible check-in time before 10:00 AM on weekdays.
- 2-day remote work per week.
- 12 annual leave days, 5 sick leave days, 11 public holidays as required by Vietnamese Labor Law, plus one extra day off for Christmas.
- Opportunity to work on global projects, collaborate with international teams
- Daily breakfast, Happy Thursday gatherings to connect with colleagues.
- Active sport clubs such as badminton, running, football, music clubs.
- Teambuilding activities, annual company trips, and year end party.
- Continuous learning opportunities through technical & soft skills training, English classes, and internal communities.
- Financial assistance for important life events, including marriage, childbirth, and bereavement, ensuring support at every stage of life.
