GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

  • Technically support the new product development under the circumstance that the product and mold are designed as SPI standard to ensure the new program can be brought in successfully.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

  • Delivery the customer's design request to product designer, work with product designer at the program design stage to make sure the design meet with the standard and make improvement by Kaizen.
  • Create Tool Layout and request supplier to design Molds based on Tool Layout . After finishing Mold design, attend Mold Design Review with TE and make design change to make sure it is productive.
  • Participate in the mold trial run at mold Factory. Comfirm the mold structure and process setting, make sure the product meet the dimension and the appearance requirement.
  • Manage and oversee 15–25 injection molds from project start to final production.
  • Handle product and tooling development with 2–3 year program cycles.
  • Assembly the products to test if they can meet the requirement.
  • Submit the testing request to the Lab. Work with Lab for parts testing and improve the product to meet the requirement.
  • Data support the PPAP.
  • Work with MTL to verify fixture trial run and continuously improve the part to make sure fixture works.
  • Cooperate with PD team to complete customer requirements according to program milestone.
  • Create and update the product's design standard.
  • Assist plant with continuous improvement for any issue.
  • Promotes and Complies with the environmental policy and applicable quality and environmental management systems instructions. Comply with the Workplace Safety and Health Policy and applicable instructions.
  • Comply with SPI policies and procedures.
  • Performs other activities as assigned.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Decision making abilities.
  • Be able to understand 80% of an English conversation, and speak 60% correctly in English.
  • Knowledge of injection molding operations.
  • Knowledge of plastic parts assembly methods.
  • Knowledge of plastic parts decoration methods.
  • Engineering degree or certificate of completion of studies. Bachelor's degree related to area of responsibility.
  • 3 years work experience in Auto manufacturing area.
  • 3–5 years of experience in injection molding.

WORKING TIME & LOCATION

  • Location: Nhon Trach 6 Industrial Industrial (Company shuttle bus available from Ho Chi Minh City and Bien Hoa).
  • Working time: Monday to Saturday (alternating Saturdays, with two Saturdays off per month).
