Job Description
About us
Triptych Ventures is a profitable, eight-figure US consumer products company. Our brands, Dunwell and Cranbury, sell top-ranked filing, notebook, planner, calendar, and presentation products on Amazon US and Walmart. We manufacture in China and Vietnam and are building our operations hub in Hanoi. Every design decision here is argued with sales, review, and competitor evidence.
The role
You own what our products are. You will improve our existing lines and develop new ones, with a target of 2 to 3 successful new lines a year. A line counts as successful when it reaches its modeled first-year contribution within 25% and stays under our review-rate quality bar.
In our categories, quality is measured in millimeters. A pocket 2mm too shallow or a hole punch 1mm off registration produces hundreds of one-star reviews and can write off a production run. You will be the person in the company who cares about this most.
What you will own
- Product improvement: turn customer review and return data into ranked product fixes, and carry each fix through to the next production run
- New lines: concept, spec, samples, and launch, running design reviews that bring our executive, finance, design, and operations teams to agreement
- Manufacturing specs: dimensions, tolerances, materials, and color matching, with golden-sample sign-off at the factory
- Competitor watch: a weekly brief on competitor launches, price moves, design trends, and retail assortments
- Factory travel in Vietnam and China, roughly 25% of your time
Our supply chain team owns supplier selection and price negotiation, our FP&A team owns the financial model, and our design team gives final brand approval. You bring the product judgment and build the agreement across those teams.
Requirements
These are pass/fail. We only review applications that meet every item.
- 3+ years developing physical consumer products that reached mass production. Paper, print, or plastics (PP injection or extrusion) experience is preferred. Software or app product management does not qualify.
- A portfolio of at least 3 products you shipped, with photos and your specific role on each. Include the link in your CV.
- At least 2 products you developed that are still on sale 12+ months after launch.
- You have personally written manufacturing spec sheets with dimensional tolerances.
- You have attended pre-production meetings or golden-sample sign-offs at a factory in the last 2 years.
- Strong written and spoken English (you will work daily with our US team) and fluent Vietnamese. Mandarin is a strong plus.
- Based in Vietnam with the right to work, living in or willing to relocate to Hanoi or HCMC.
- Compensation
- Up to USD 1,500 per month, paid as an all-in contractor fee (you cover your own tax and insurance), plus a bonus of USD [X] for each new line that meets the success definition above. This is a long-term role with a growing US company building its Vietnam hub.
How to apply, and what happens next
Apply on LinkedIn with a CV that includes your portfolio link, and answer the screening questions.
Within 3 days, applicants who meet the requirements receive an email asking for four things, due within 72 hours:
- Links to 3 live product listings you developed
- A teardown, 150 words maximum: pick any top-100 Amazon office product, name one specific physical design weakness, and say what you would change, with the dimension or material called out
- A 2-minute video introducing yourself in English
- Your notice period and expected monthly rate in USD
Shortlisted candidates complete a short practical exercise based on one of our real products, then interview with our leadership team.
