JOB SUMMARY

As a strategic bridge between Sales, Operations, and transportation contractors, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and managing a robust B2B transport vendor network for GHN. Your core objective is to ensure every B2B transport route is backed by optimal vendor solutions regarding vehicle capacity, service quality (SLA), cost efficiency, and scalability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Vendor Sourcing & Capacity Evaluation (55%)

• Sourcing & Expansion: Analyze requirements from Sales and Operations; proactively source and categorize transport vendors by region, route, and vehicle type (containers, dry vans, specialized trucks).
• Supply Risk Management: Build and maintain primary and backup vendor pools; ensure key routes always have 2–3 viable vendor options to optimize costs and secure business continuity.
• Capability Assessment: Evaluate vendor fleet sizes, dispatching responsiveness, booking acceptance rates, driver standards, and SLA commitments.

2. Pricing Analysis, Bidding Support & Operations Alignment (45%)

• Quotation Management (RFQ): Issue standardized RFQs to vendors; clarify cost components (fuel, tolls, handling, waiting fees, surcharges).
• Analysis & Comparison: Benchmark rate structures across vendors to provide clear, actionable input data for Sales and Pricing teams during client bidding (RFP/RFQ).
• Performance Optimization: Track vendor KPIs (on-time rate, incident frequency, POD document return); partner with Operations to execute pilot runs for new routes and replace underperforming vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Logistics, Transport Procurement, Fleet Dispatching, or Freight Sourcing.
• Strong background working directly with trucking companies, 3PL providers, or dispatch teams; experience supporting client bidding/RFQs is highly preferred.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Solid understanding of road freight transport (payload capacities, truck specifications, B2B delivery constraints, fuel/toll cost structures).
• Proficient in MS Excel for managing large rate databases, rate cards, and financial comparisons.
• Strong negotiation, cold-calling, and communication skills to optimize rates and terms.
• High integrity, transparency, and objectivity in supplier selection.

Education: Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
