Job Description

8seneca builds software for European clients across different industries, including commerce, logistics, public sector, insurance, and enterprise systems.

As a Product Owner Intern, you will learn how to turn business problems into software products that create real value. You will work with clients, engineers, and internal teams to understand what should be built, why it should be built, and what should come first.

You will:

Understand business problems and identify the real needs behind feature requests
Help define product requirements and translate them into clear user stories
Prioritise and manage the product backlog
Break large requirements into smaller, deliverable pieces
Define acceptance criteria and clarify expected outcomes
Work with engineers to make sure features solve the intended problem
Take part in product validation and testing before release
Support internal product ideas from concept through validation, scoping, and launch
Continuously ask Why are we building this and challenge assumptions when needed

REQUIREMENTS

Reasoning ability: You can break vague problems into smaller parts and identify missing assumptions or contradictions
Learning speed: You can quickly understand an unfamiliar business or industry by asking the right questions
Product sense: You think about the problem a feature is solving, not just how the feature looks
Business understanding: You understand basic concepts such as revenue, cost, margin, decision-making, and approval processes
English: Working-professional level, written and spoken, for communication with European clients and colleagues. Written clarity is especially important.
