Job Description
At Lollypop Design Studio, visual storytelling goes beyond the final edit. It starts with how a shot is planned, how the lighting is set up, and how each frame captures the right moment.
As a Photographer & Video Editor Intern, you will work closely with our Content, Marketing, and Design teams to capture, edit, and produce visual content for social media, marketing campaigns, studio activities, and events.
This role offers hands-on experience in the entire production process, from preparing shooting setups and operating camera equipment to photographing, filming, and editing the final content. You will have the opportunity to experiment with different shooting techniques, develop your visual storytelling skills, and learn how creative production works in a global design studio.
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in photography and videography, an eye for visual details, and the willingness to learn through real projects.
Responsibilities:
- Capture photo and video content for social media, marketing campaigns, brand communications, studio activities, workshops, and events.
- Prepare and set up cameras, lighting, backgrounds, props, microphones, and other equipment for photo and video shoots.
- Plan shots, framing, composition, camera angles, and basic shot lists based on creative briefs and visual references.
- Photograph people, behind-the-scenes activities, and company events, capturing authentic moments and expressions.
- Film short-form videos, interviews, talking-head content, office activities, and other marketing materials.
- Retouch and enhance photographs using Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools to improve lighting, color, and overall image quality.
- Edit video content using Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar tools, applying color correction, sound editing, transitions, subtitles, and text overlays as needed.
- Research and suggest creative references, editing styles, and visual trends to support upcoming shoots and video projects.
- Create and edit thumbnails for videos and social media content across multiple brands, following each brand's visual identity and content style.
- Adapt photo and video assets into different formats and aspect ratios for various digital platforms.
- Collaborate with Content, Marketing, and Design teams to develop visual ideas and ensure deliverables meet creative briefs and brand requirements.
- Organize raw footage, photographs, project files, and final assets for easy access and future use.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a program in photography, filmmaking, multimedia, communications, visual arts, or a related field. Candidates with relevant practical experience are also welcome.
- Strong interest in photography, videography, and visual storytelling, with a willingness to develop both shooting and editing skills.
- Basic understanding of photography fundamentals, including exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, composition, framing, and lighting.
- Familiarity with camera equipment and accessories, such as DSLR or mirrorless cameras, lenses, tripods, and basic lighting equipment.
- Basic knowledge of shooting setups, including camera positioning, lighting placement, backgrounds, and audio recording.
- Familiarity with photo editing tools such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, and video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar software.
- A portfolio or sample work demonstrating photography, videography, editing, or personal creative projects. Academic projects and self-initiated work are welcome.
- A good eye for composition, color, lighting, and visual details.
- Willingness to participate in on-site shoots, studio activities, and events when required.
- Ability to follow creative briefs, manage assigned tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Basic verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate with a global team.
A plus, but not required:
- Experience setting up lighting for portraits, interviews, or indoor video shoots.
- Experience filming talking-head videos, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, or event highlights.
- Basic knowledge of color grading, motion graphics, or visual effects.
Benefits:
- Monthly internship allowance of VND 2,500,000, plus a lunch subsidy of VND 20,000 per working shift.
- Opportunity to transition into an official full-time role based on performance, skill development, and business needs.
- Hands-on experience in photography, videography, shooting setups, and post-production.
- Opportunities to work on real marketing campaigns, social media content, studio activities, and company events across multiple brands.
- Guidance and feedback from experienced creative and marketing professionals.
- Opportunities to develop practical skills in camera operation, lighting, composition, photo retouching, and video editing.
- A chance to build a professional portfolio through real projects and creative assignments.
- A collaborative working environment with opportunities to exchange ideas and learn from different creative disciplines.
