Position Summary
As the Offline Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing our business within Vietnam&aposs Modern Trade (MT) channels. You will be the strategic link between the company and our key retail partners (such as Watsons, Guardian etc.). Your core objective is to develop and execute effective customer business plans to achieve sales growth, increase market share, and build the brand, ensuring a win-win partnership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Be accountable for achieving or exceeding the assigned annual/quarterly/monthly sales targets, collection targets, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for managed customers.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans (JBP - Joint Business Plan) for each key account, identifying new growth opportunities.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to propose effective action plans to drive business growth.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain solid, long-term strategic relationships with the headquarters and regional teams of designated retail partners (e.g., Watsons, Guardian).
- Act as the primary contact between the company and the client, handling all daily business communications and negotiations, including but not limited to: trade terms, promotional activities, product placement, new product listings, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular business review meetings with clients to report performance, resolve issues, and plan future directions.
3. Trade Marketing & Execution:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotions, in-store activities, and brand activation plans tailored to each client.
- Ensure excellent in-store execution standards, including product placement, share of shelf, price management, and promotional material display to maximize brand visibility and sales.
4. Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the supply chain and demand planning teams to accurately forecast customer needs and ensure optimal inventory levels, preventing stock-outs or overstock situations.
- Monitor customer inventory turnover rates and propose improvement recommendations.
5. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams including marketing, trade marketing, finance, and supply chain to ensure a seamless service experience for clients.
- Guide and support the execution work of sales representatives or merchandisers at the store level.
Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor&aposs degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales or key account management experience in the beauty, skincare, personal care, or Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.
- Must have proven experience directly managing and working with the headquarters of major offline retailers in Vietnam, especially Watsons and Guardian.Experience with other channels (e.g., Phano, Medicare, or regional drugstore chains) is a plus.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with clients at various levels.
- Data-driven mindset and strong business acumen, with proficiency in sales data analysis.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive and determination to achieve targets.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English (written and spoken).
Preferred:
- Solid knowledge of trade marketing and in-store execution.
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to understand P&L statements and manage customer trade terms.
- Leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Proactive, able to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
