Job Description

QS SPECIALIST (MEP)

1. JOB SUMMARY

The QS Specialist (MEP) is responsible for cost estimation, budget control, tendering, and contract administration for construction projects, including MEP works. The role works closely with internal teams and contractors to ensure cost efficiency, accurate cost forecasting, and compliance with contractual requirements.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage all contractual and financial aspects of works including MEP works.
Prepare estimates, budgets, tenders, and manage contract negotiations.
Monitor cost control, certify progress payments, and handle variations.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure cost efficiency and compliance.
Perform other related duties as required by the company and department.

3. REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying, MEP Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with experience in large-scale projects exceeding 200,000 sqm.
Proficient in English, with strong communication skills and the ability to read and understand technical documents and construction contracts.
Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost norms, and construction regulations.
Proficient in cost estimation and quantity take-off software such as CostX, Bluebeam, Candy, or equivalent tools.
Ability to review tender documents, measure MEP quantities, and interpret technical drawings for electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and teamwork skills.
