We are looking for an experienced Mechatronics Team Leader to lead the development of groundbreaking Robotic Vertical Farm systems. This is an opportunity to spearhead a cutting-edge project that combines computer vision and advanced mechatronics, and make an impact on thousands of farmers&apos lives.
As a senior member of our team, you&aposll be expected to design, implement, and oversee complex mechatronic systems, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that our hardware solves the needs of the farming team (aquaculture).
I. What Youll Do
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical and electronic systems for Robotic Vertical Farm applications. Sometimes it&aposs hands-on work to instruct junior engineers.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle: from concept and prototyping to deployment and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with the Computer Vision and Software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and interns.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and iterative improvements.
- Document designs, processes, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
II. What Youll Bring
- At least 3 years of extensive experience with electronic components, sensors, and actuators used in smart systems.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software for complex design tasks with 2 years of hands-on experience (preferably SolidWorks)
- 2+ years of proven hands-on expertise in assembling and controlling mechatronic systems, such as 3D printers, CNC machines, or robotics.
- 2+ years of experience programming in Python, C++, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Knowledge of modern tools like Socket.io, MongoDB, and Docker (or a willingness to learn).
- Track-record of managing at least 5 people.
- Track-record of building systems that cost more than 100,000 USD (Or around 100,000 USD is acceptable).
- English proficiency is not required; reading and writing skills are acceptable.

- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and inspire teammates, either in great time or difficult time
