MACRO & MARKET STRATEGY ANALYST

We are looking for a driven and analytical Macro & Market Strategy Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with strong macroeconomic research and financial market analysis capabilities, able to identify key market trends, develop differentiated investment views, and translate insights into actionable strategies. The position is based in Hanoi.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·    Macroeconomic & Market Analysis:Monitor and analyze domestic and global macroeconomic developments, including monetary and fiscal policies, commodity prices, global financial markets, and other key macro indicators. Assess their implications for the Vietnamese equity market.

·    Market Strategy & Outlook:Analyze market regimes, liquidity and fund flow dynamics, sector rotation, and relative strength across sectors and stocks to develop scenarios and investment outlooks for the VN-Index and key sectors. Identify short- and long-term market trends, opportunities, and risks, and translate these views into actionable market strategies across different investment horizons.

·    Model Portfolio Management:Develop, recommend, and monitor model portfolios for short- and long-term investment horizons, based on market views, sector/stock relative strength, investment themes, and disciplined risk management principles.

·    Research & Reporting:Produce monthly macroeconomic and market updates, macro & market strategy reports, thematic research, and other ad-hoc research reports. Monitor and analyze key economic events, market developments, regulatory changes, and policy documents that may affect financial markets and investment products.

·    AI & Data Analytics:Leverage AI tools and data analytics to aggregate and process market information, automate research workflows, generate alerts, and identify early signals in macroeconomic and market developments to enhance the efficiency and quality of investment research.

·    Perform other duties and research-related tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·   Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Banking, Investment, or a related discipline. Candidates with a quantitative background in Econometrics, Statistics, Data Science, or a similar field are also encouraged to apply.

·   1–3 years of relevant experience in macroeconomic research, equity/market strategy, or investment research at a securities company, asset management firm, investment fund, bank, or research institution.

·   Candidates holding CFA Level II or above and/or a securities practicing certificate issued by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam (SSC) are preferred.

·   Strong understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, and the Vietnamese equity market, with the ability to translate macroeconomic developments into market and investment views.

·   Experience using financial data and research platforms such as Bloomberg, LSEG Refinitiv, FiinPro, WiChart, or equivalent platforms.

·   Familiarity with AI tools for research and analysis, such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, and the ability to apply them effectively in research workflows.

·   Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly and effectively.

·   Excellent research, writing, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to formulate and articulate investment views in a clear and structured manner.

·   Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a data-driven mindset.

·   Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
