About Giao Hang Nang
Giao Hang Nang is the B2B arm of GHN, Vietnam's leading logistics technology company. While GHN built its name moving one parcel to one person, Giao Hang Nang solves a different problem: moving heavy goods at scale across a nationwide distribution network.
Recent work gives a sense of the scale. We consolidated 3-4 local carriers into a single channel for a home-appliance distributor in Central Vietnam, moving 13,439 orders and roughly 374 tonnes. We run 200 CBM a day to more than 3,000 points of sale. On-time KPI in July reached 99.8%.
The role
You design how goods move. For each major B2B customer, you translate their distribution requirements into a transport network, model what it costs, defend the price, and then stay with it until it runs in production.
This is a newly created position. You will not inherit someone else's playbook.
What you will own
1. Transport network design and customer consulting
- Analyze customer distribution requirements, volume profiles, delivery windows and service expectations, then translate them into a workable transport network.
- Design the network end to end: line-haul legs, cross-dock and consolidation points, regional delivery clusters, route and frequency plans, vehicle mix and fleet sizing.
- Decide the operating model for each account: own fleet versus subcontracted carrier, dedicated versus shared network, direct delivery versus hub-and-spoke.
- Build the transport cost model and pricing basis, including chargeable weight and CBM conversion, fill rate, backhaul opportunities, and cost-to-serve by lane and by customer segment.
- Prepare and present solution proposals to customers alongside the Business Development team.
2. Project planning and coordination
- Build implementation plans that reconcile customer requirements, commercial commitments and operational constraints.
- Align Operations, Technology, Sales, Finance and Legal so the solution is ready end to end before go-live.
- Define milestones, dependencies, budget and risk for each rollout.
3. Execution and go-live
- Lead implementation: pilot runs, SOP development, carrier onboarding, route readiness and driver briefing.
- Configure and validate the solution in TMS, including route master data, cost rules and ePOD flows.
- Manage handover to Operations so the design is adopted as built, not quietly reinvented.
4. Performance and continuous improvement
- Track post-launch KPIs and project ROI: on-time delivery, cost per CBM and per kg, fill rate, empty-running ratio, cost variance against the model.
- Close the loop between what was designed and what actually runs, and feed the gap back into the next design.
- Drive cost-out initiatives across lanes, routes and carrier mix using Lean and continuous improvement practices.
5. Risk, quality and stakeholder management
- Assess risk on each design and build mitigation into the plan before go-live, not after the first failure.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, transport safety regulations and customer SLAs.
- Run workshops and progress reviews with both senior leadership and customer stakeholders.
What we look for
1. Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business or a related field.
- At least 5 years in transport solution design, distribution network design, transport planning or transport operations management within logistics, 3PL, 4PL or a large distribution network.
- Proven experience designing transportation or distribution network solutions that went live, not only proposals.
- Hands-on with transport cost modeling: chargeable weight, cost per CBM and per kg, fill rate, route and fleet sizing, make-or-buy on carriers.
- Experience running carrier tender or RFQ processes and negotiating rate structures.
- Strong analytical skills in Excel; able to build a model from raw operational data. Power BI, SQL or a network optimization tool is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of TMS and of how transport data flows through it.
- Able to present a solution to a customer and hold up under questioning.
- Fluent Vietnamese, professional English both written and spoken.
2. Nice to have
- Exposure to warehouse, fulfillment or cross-dock design, since transport rarely stands alone.
- PMP or an equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with heavy or bulky cargo, or with retail and FMCG distribution to a large store network.
- Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement background.
What is different about this role
- You design for a network that is your own, not a customer's. What you draw goes live in weeks, and you see the result in the KPI dashboard rather than in a closing report.
- You report directly to the Operations Director. There is no layer between your design and the decision to run it.
- The position is new. You set how solution design works here, including the templates, the cost model standard and the handover discipline.
Practical details
- On-site in Ho Chi Minh City.
- Occasional travel within Vietnam and Southeast Asia depending on project needs.
