Job Description
Our client is a leading multinational organisation with a significant global footprint, seeking a Legal Counsel to join its regional legal team based in Singapore.
This is a unique opportunity for a lawyer with a strong Banking & Finance foundation who is looking to combine financing work with a broader commercial and business-facing remit. The role supports stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and offers exposure to both treasury-related transactions and day-to-day commercial legal matters.
Key Responsibilities of this Legal Counsel, Treasury & Finance - MNC
- Advise on syndicated and bilateral financing arrangements, including facility agreements, guarantees and related banking documentation.
- Partner closely with Treasury and Finance teams on financing, working capital and banking matters across the business.
- Review, draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including sales, distribution and supply contracts.
- Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support general corporate, governance and strategic business initiatives.
- Work independently within a lean legal team while collaborating with regional and local stakeholders.
Key Requirements of this Legal Counsel, Treasury & Finance - MNC
- Approximately 8-15 years PQE.
- Strong Banking & Finance experience, gained in private practice and/or in-house.
- Familiarity with lending transactions, facility documentation, guarantees, financing arrangements and treasury-related matters.
- Demonstrated commercial contracting and business partnering experience.
- Prior in-house experience preferred.
- Ability to operate independently and manage stakeholders across a complex, international organisation.
- Experience within commodities, manufacturing, agriculture, food, industrials or other multinational environments would be advantageous.
