Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Learning and Development and Internal Communication Specialist

Supports the Learning and Development Manager in driving URCs Learning and Development strategies to include overseeing the URC University Learning and Development programs. He partners with the line managers and the HR Business Partners in assessing capability needs, identifying and acting on appropriate interventions, monitoring and evaluating development progress and its impact on business results. He works closely with learning providers internal and external to the organization. He also serves as an internal L&D resource and can create and facilitate learning sessions as needed and deliver learning through different channels.

What are the Roles and Responsibilities

Training Design and Management:

  • Provides input to the overall training strategy and the development of specific training development plans and programs.
  • Identifies training and development needs within the organization through performance and competency analyses, and regular consultation with the internal HR business partners, managers, or immediate superiors of employees.
  • Prepares necessary budget for the training and development programs.
  • Prepares communications and other documents needed in the training courses and programs offered to employees.
  • Evaluates training and development programs, recommends, and modifies the structure and content of the courses and programs as necessary for improvement.

Training Facilitation/ Delivery:

  • Facilitates assigned training courses and sessions (upon certification)
  • Manages the delivery of training and development programs as well as monitors and reviews the progress of trainees through relevant assessments.
  • Coordinates with the external training vendors/suppliers and delivers customized training programs and courses.
  • Oversees the quality of delivered training sessions by external vendors.

Learning Management System:

  • Ability to learn and help support a custom Learning Management system, at both the systems and users level.
  • Provide content for the development of online training materials.

Internal Communications

  • Design, develop, and deliver an integrated communications plan aligned to URCs strategic priorities.
  • Develop content for townhall presentations, talking points, newsletters, manager briefing kits, videos, infographics, and other materials as required.
  • Build talking points, newsletters, manager briefing kits, videos, infographics, and other materials as required, for senior managers or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form.
  • Conceptualize multi-media content such as presentations, videos, or infographics to support communications initiatives.
  • Organizing employee engagement programs to create a deeper understanding of shared goals and to foster a shared sense of identity.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, as required.
  • Successfully manage issues and crisis under the direction of the project lead
  • Ensure quality and consistency in materials produced and published.
  • Ensure timely reporting of required metrics.

What are the Qualifications

  • Graduate of any Bachelor of Science or arts degree (pref major in psychology, marketing, business, and other related fields)
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Minimum 5-year experience as a L&D Associate or similar role
  • Delivers L&D administrative requirements such as needs analysis and program enrolment, payment, budgets, setting up of learning sessions (virtual and face to face) with minimal supervision.
  • Host and facilitate learning sessions and activities and can use game-based learning platforms.
  • Create and execute learning strategies and programs.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Experience in project management and budgeting
  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs.
  • Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
  • Ability to build rapport with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Help managers develop their team members through career growth model.
  • Hire and train the L&D team.
  • Proactive and assertive
