Lead Accountant

Location: District 7, Ho Chi Minh City/ Amata Long Thanh Factory

Job Purpose

Manage accounting operations to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and company policies. Responsible for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Inventory & Costing, Financial Closing, Tax Compliance, and Statutory Reporting. Support inventory and manufacturing cost accounting activities, month-end closing, cost controls, and process improvements while working closely with the Finance Manager/Chief Accountant, operational teams, and IPI (Italy).

Main Responsibilities:

1. Manage General Ledger and month-end/year-end closing activities.
2. Oversee Accounts Payable and ensure timely, accurate processing of accounting transactions.
3. Maintain Fixed Asset records, depreciation, capitalization, and asset verification.
4. Handle inventory accounting, inventory valuation, and manufacturing costing.
5. Prepare and review VAT, CIT, WHT, and other statutory tax filings.
6. Prepare statutory financial reports and support audit activities.
7. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
8. Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and regional teams to support accounting and costing activities.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Financial Closing, Inventory & Costing, and Tax Compliance.
4. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, MISA, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
5. Good command of English.
6. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
