Role Description

The IT & Systems Support Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The person in this role will be responsible for setting up and maintaining the IT infrastructure of the company's new office, as well as providing ongoing technical support to employees across hardware, software, networks, company systems, and user accounts.

Daily responsibilities include setting up computers and office equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, managing network connectivity, supporting company software and internal systems, and administering Google Workspace accounts and permissions.

The role also includes coordinating with external IT vendors and service providers when required and ensuring that the company's IT environment remains stable, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the IT infrastructure for the company's new Hanoi office, including internet, LAN/Wi-Fi networks, routers, switches, cabling, and related equipment.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, monitors, printers, and other office IT equipment.
  • Provide daily technical support to employees for hardware, software, network, email, and system-related issues.
  • Manage Google Workspace, including Gmail accounts, users, permissions, shared drives, groups, and access management.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows computers and business applications.
  • Provide technical support for company operational systems and internal software.
  • Manage employee IT onboarding and offboarding, including computers, accounts, access permissions, and equipment.
  • Maintain IT equipment inventory and basic technical documentation.
  • Monitor office internet and network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Support basic IT security, antivirus, access controls, password policies, backups, and device protection.
  • Coordinate with internet providers, hardware suppliers, software providers, and external IT vendors when necessary.
  • Support meeting-room technology, TVs/screens, video conferencing, CCTV, and other office technology.
  • Identify technical issues and recommend practical improvements to improve system reliability and employee productivity.

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in IT support, system administration, or IT infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows, networking, Wi-Fi, LAN, routers, switches, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Google Workspace administration, including Gmail, Drive, user accounts, groups, and permissions.
  • Experience installing and supporting business software and office applications.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve both hardware and software problems.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity, user access management, backups, and data protection.
  • Experience with office IT setup or infrastructure projects is highly advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Good organizational and communication skills with the ability to support non-technical employees.
  • Proficiency in English and Vietnamese.
  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Networking, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
