- IT Network and Securities

We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn IT Network & Security Engineer to join our Technology Services team. This role is ideal for candidates with 1-3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, or security operations. The successful candidate will assist in the administration, maintenance, and monitoring of network, server, and security systems while gaining hands-on experience across enterprise infrastructure technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Network Administration

• Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, VPN configuration.
• Support network troubleshooting activities.
• Monitor connectivity of leased lines and network links to external partners, branches, and disaster recovery sites.
• Support user access requests and basic network administration tasks.
• Escalate network incidents and collaborate with senior engineers on issue resolution.
• Participate in network documentation updates and inventory management.

Security Operations

• Monitor security tools, including endpoint protection, anti-virus, and anti-malware solutions.
• Assist with security patch deployment for servers, workstations, and network devices.
• Support firewall rule reviews and security policy implementation.
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Monitor and report security alerts and incidents.
• Assist in maintaining security documentation, procedures, and operational checklists.
• Follow security best practices to help protect company systems and networks.

System Administration

• Assist in the administration and monitoring of Windows and Linux servers.
• Perform routine server health checks, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with backup operations and periodic backup restoration testing.

Other Duties

• Provide technical support for infrastructure-related issues.
• Participate in IT projects and technology improvement initiatives.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the IT Manager or Head of IT.

Skills & Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Network Administration, System Administration, or Information Security.
• Understanding of networking technologies.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, vulnerability management, and security monitoring.
• Knowledge of firewall and security technologies.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively in a team environment.
• Good communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with network devices such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar technologies.
• Exposure to virtualization technologies such as VMware.
• Familiarity with backup solutions and Active Directory administration.
• Experience with storage and backup solutions is an advantage.
• Experience with financial services or regulated industries is an advantage.

• CCNA
• Microsoft certifications.
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
