Job Description
Job Summary:
As an IT Business Development Executive, you will serve as the primary frontline hunter driving new revenue streams for ZAMO across Australia, the United States, and Singapore. Leveraging your market acumen and precision-targeted outreach, you will open doors with international CTOs and Tech Founders, uncover their critical challenges, and collaborate with ZAMO's engineering leaders to close high-value deals.
• JOB DESCRIPTION •
- Strategic Prospecting & Targeted Outreach
- Identify and map target accounts and proactively engage key technology decision-makers, including Founders, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Product Owners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stay informed about technology trends and business drivers such as AI adoption, cloud migration, legacy modernization, and technology cost optimization.
- Conduct personalized outbound outreach through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email, professional networks, and other relevant channels.
- Identify and leverage market signals such as funding rounds, technology hiring activity, product launches, and relevant B2B project platforms.
- Develop personalized messaging based on each prospect's business context, pain points, and technology needs rather than relying on generic sales approaches.
2. Opportunity Qualification & Discovery
- Conduct initial conversations to understand the prospect's business requirements, technology stack, project timeline, team size, resource needs, and budget parameters.
- Identify client pain points and assess whether ZAMO's capabilities can address their business and technology challenges.
- Secure and facilitate well-qualified discovery meetings between prospects and ZAMO's technical experts.
- Work closely with the IT Business Development Lead and technical team to recommend the most suitable engagement model for each opportunity.
3. Deal Development & Closing Support
- Participate in client presentations and solution discussions with Engineering Managers, Solution Architects, and other technical leaders.
- Communicate ZAMO's engineering capabilities, proposed solutions, relevant project experience, and delivery approach.
- Proactively address common client concerns around offshore delivery, time-zone differences, communication, security, IP protection, and delivery quality.
- Support the IT Business Development Lead throughout commercial negotiations and help drive qualified opportunities through to contract and SOW signing.
- Ensure a smooth handover of client requirements, project context, and commercial information to the Engineering and Delivery teams following contract signing.
4. Sales Pipeline & Market Intelligence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect information, communication history, deal stages, next steps, and sales activities in the CRM.
- Monitor pipeline performance and follow up consistently to keep opportunities moving forward.
- Gather market feedback, client objections, competitive insights, and prospect preferences.
- Share insights with the BD Lead and relevant teams to refine sales messaging, materials, and playbooks.
• REQUIREMENTS •
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience in IT Outsourcing (ITO), Dedicated Team, Staff Augmentation, or Custom Software Development; experience selling technology services to international clients is preferred.
- Good understanding of the Australia, United States, and/or Singapore markets, including business culture, communication styles, and technology service buying practices.
- Strong understanding of IT outsourcing engagement and commercial models, including Dedicated Team, Staff Augmentation, ODC, Fixed Price, and Time & Materials (T&M), with a good understanding of pricing structures.
- Good understanding of software development and technology, including SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Web, Mobile, Cloud, DevOps, and AI, with the ability to communicate confidently with Founders, CTOs, Tech Leads, and other technical stakeholders.
- Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills, with hands-on experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email intelligence platforms, CRM systems, and other relevant sales tools.
- Ability to research target accounts, identify buying signals and client pain points, and tailor outreach and value propositions to specific business needs.
- Fluent Business English, with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Hunter mindset — proactive, persistent, disciplined, commercially minded, and results-oriented, with strong ownership of building and growing the sales pipeline.
• BENEFITS •
