Job Description

Lotte is currently expanding its retail portfolio in Vietnam through several large-scale development projects. In partnership with Sun Group, the company is planning new shopping malls in key locations such as Phu Quoc (approx. 40,000 sqm NLA) and Da Nang (approx. 50,000 sqm NLA), along with other upcoming opportunities.

Lotte is also developing its flagship shopping mall project in Ho Chi Minh City, targeted for opening in 2031. In addition, the company continues to explore new projects across Southern Vietnam, with teams actively involved in mall development planning and tenant leasing strategies, providing strong exposure to the end-to-end development of major retail projects.

Job Description:

1. Interior Responsibilities

- Prepare design proposals, construction orders, and related documentation (area, schedule, etc.).

- Develop RFPs (scope, timeline, cost, manpower) and manage design firms, vendors, and contractors.

- Create mood boards and review design deliverables (layout, materials, lighting, furniture, etc.).

- Prepare reports for design evaluation and decision-making.

- Conduct site inspections, review design changes, and ensure all project information is updated and accurate.

- Control interior-related costs within the approved budget.

- Inspect/control construction to meet approved design & collaborate with FF&E manager (Furniture, Lighting, Display) for ordering and follow up.

2. Construction Responsibilities

- Plan project schedules and coordinate with relevant teams.

- Manage design across all phases (concept to construction documentation).

- Ensure design compliance and maintain documentation records.

- Understand the on-site construction conditions and coordinate design details.

- Oversee construction progress, drawings (as-built vs. design), and administration.

- Manage design changes, inspections (interim/final), and contractor payments.

- Maintain project files related to the new Mall opening, including punch list, photos and etc... & Manage project schedule and cost.

- Work closely with the partner company for design development, review drawings, and finish samples.

3. Tenant Responsibilities

- Develop tenant design and pop-up store guidelines.

- Review and coordinate the tenant brand drawings so they align with the shopping mall design.

- Review and approve tenant designs (signage, interior, schedule, etc.).

- Conduct inspections and acceptance for tenant fit-out.

- Advise and approve tenant design changes and event-related visuals.

4. Others

- Support VM and graphic planning.

- Coordinate with departments, manage defect lists, and follow up on issues.

- Comply with company regulations and perform other assigned tasks.

Required abilities

- Strong creative mindset with up-to-date knowledge of design trends and industry practices.

- Good command of English, both written and spoken.

- Proficient in design and office software, including AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and MS Office.

- Understanding of architectural drawing and related facilities.

- [optional extra] Proficiency in Korean is an advantage.

Required Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

- 1-3 years of work experience in the interior department of major shopping malls or retail brand.

- (optional extra) Experience in opening new retail projects or shopping mall projects
