Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes using Industrial Engineering methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives, integrated with AI and automation solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance.
- Industrial Engineering & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard times and productivity targets.
- Analyze production processes and workflows to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Design and optimize production layout, workstation ergonomics, and material flow.
- Perform line balancing, labor analysis, and capacity planning for production lines.
- Monitor production performance using IE metrics such as OEE, cycle time, takt time, and throughput.
- Lead Kaizen activities and continuous improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
- Identify and eliminate waste using lean manufacturing tools.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by evaluating process capability and production constraints.
- 2. AI, Automation & Data Analytics:
- Develop and use digital or AI-based tools to support IE analysis and process optimization.
- Build dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau to track KPIs and operational performance.
- Analyze production and engineering data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Support the implementation of automation and IoT systems for real-time data collection and monitoring.
- Collaborate with IT and Automation teams to integrate digital solutions with ERP/MRP systems.
- Research and evaluate new technologies (AI, Machine Learning, IoT) for application in manufacturing.
- 3. General Responsibilities:
- Provide training and technical support to production teams on IE standards, lean tools, and work methods.
- Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), IE standards, and improvement documentation.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Data Science, Automation, or Computer Science is an advantage.
- Certifications in AI, IoT, or Data Analytics are a plus.
- Experience:
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, manufacturing, or process improvement.
- Hands-on experience in time study, process improvement, layout design, and productivity analysis.
- Experience leading Kaizen or continuous improvement projects.
- Experience with data analysis, automation systems, or digital tools is preferred.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering methods: time study, line balancing, capacity and labor analysis.
- Data analysis and visualization skills (Advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau).
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML and IoT technologies.
