Job Description

The IFRS Assistant Manager role leads advisory and financial reporting projects, supporting clients with IFRS adoption and the conversion of financial statements from local accounting standards. The position combines technical accounting expertise, client advisory, and team leadership while also contributing to accounting and tax consulting services.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial statement conversion projects from local accounting standards to IFRS, including gap analysis, adjustment entries, and the preparation of IFRS-compliant financial reports
  • Advise clients on IFRS implementation strategies, accounting policy impacts, reporting implications, and system readiness
  • Review work quality and provide guidance, training, and technical support to junior team members
  • Provide accounting and tax consulting services to help clients maintain compliance and improve reporting effectiveness
  • Prepare and review financial statements under applicable accounting standards
  • Develop technical articles, reports, and client communications related to IFRS, accounting, and taxation
  • Participate in seminars, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities for clients and internal teams

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
  • More than 3 years of experience in accounting and tax, including hands-on experience in IFRS reporting or Vietnamese Accounting Standards-to-IFRS conversion projects
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and the ability to analyse key differences between local accounting standards and IFRS
  • Experience preparing or reviewing financial statements and IFRS reporting packages
  • Strong consulting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in English
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively under pressure
  • Experience using artificial intelligence tools to improve productivity and work efficiency
  • Experience managing, supervising, or coaching junior employees
  • Professional certification such as CertIFR, ACCA DipIFR, or an equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a consulting, audit, or professional services firm
