Department: Human Resources
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Location: Dong Nai, Vietnam (Shuttle bus provided)
JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for supporting key HR activities across the organization, with a primary focus on either Recruitment & Retention or Training & Talent Development.
Depending on the candidate's experience and business needs, the position may have a stronger focus on Recruitment & Retention or Training & Talent Development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Recruitment & Retention
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, job scope, required competencies and hiring priorities.
- Develop recruitment plans, including sourcing strategies, target talent pools and hiring timelines.
- Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, local networks, schools, associations, competitors and existing talent pools.
- Screen and assess candidates based on skills, experience, motivation, leadership style, compensation expectations, commute and fit with the manufacturing environment.
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process and ensure a smooth and timely candidate experience.
- Support hiring managers with interview preparation, candidate evaluation, market insights and decision-making.
- Support offer negotiation and closing by understanding candidate motivations and expectations.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines, particularly for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
- Support employee retention and engagement initiatives.
- Monitor and report recruitment-related metrics, including turnover, time-to-fill, quality of hire, offer acceptance, source of hire and candidate drop-off rates.
B. Training & Talent Development
- Identify the skills and competencies required for different departments, positions and levels, utilizing the company's skills matrix.
- Manage onboarding and training programs for new employees, including training plans, coordination and follow-up.
- Develop, coordinate and maintain training programs for both hourly and salaried employees across plant locations.
- Partner with Operations, Safety, Quality, Maintenance and department managers to identify skill gaps and performance gaps related to training.
- Support supervisors and managers in using professional development and competency-building tools.
- Develop training tools, skill matrices, development plans and other learning materials.
- Ensure training activities and records are properly documented and auditable.
- Track employee development progress and support career development initiatives.
- Support succession planning for key salaried positions and strengthen the internal talent pipeline.
- Establish and monitor training effectiveness measures to assess whether training contributes to actual performance improvement.
- Support employee engagement activities and initiatives to strengthen employee connection and retention.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant HR experience, with strong experience in either:
- Recruitment / Talent Acquisition, preferably within a manufacturing environment; or
- Training / Talent Development / Employee Engagement.
- Experience in manufacturing or plant environments is highly preferred.
- Candidates with exposure to HR Generalist activities are preferred.
- Experience working with multiple departments and plant-level stakeholders is an advantage.
- Master's degree in a related field is a plus.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR or other relevant HR certifications are a plus.
