Job Description

We are seeking a forward-thinking HR Manager to lead the country's people operation across all HR functions to support our business growth in Vietnam. This role serves as a Business Partner and trusted advisor to senior leadership and an advocate for our local workforce. You will require deep local operational expertise in your execution to ensure full compliance with the Vietnam Labor Code and alignment to our business objectives and company values. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing HR processes and policies as well as support any HR systems rollout to enable a high-performance culture, optimize talent life cycles, and cultivate a progressive workplace environment that positions the company as an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee the recruitment process including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing and selection to provide the right talents appropriately and timely.
  • Utilize metrics to create hiring dashboards and identify areas for improvement, such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire.

Talent pipeline

  • Responsible for identifying, attracting, and nurturing potential candidates for future job openings within an organization.
  • Engaging and collaborating with educational institutions and organizations to build a talent pipeline through career fairs, internships, and events.

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Make salary proposals and offers for successful hires.
  • Manage and coordinate the onboarding and orientation of new employees, ensuring smooth integration into the company.
  • Implement a structured offboarding process, including exit interviews, to gather valuable feedback and insights from departing employees.

Employee Relations

  • Manage employee relations, addressing and resolving employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues in compliance with labor laws.

Employee Engagement

  • Spearhead initiatives to boost employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Coordinate employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, and team-building events.

HR Policies and Compliance

  • Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Vietnam's labor laws and regulations, ensuring the company's HR policies and practices are in full compliance.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Manage compensation and benefits programs rolled out from Headquarters (including salary structures, benefits management)
  • Execute staff welfare benefits for employees such as gifts for occasions etc.

Learning and Development

  • Work with respective managers to identify training needs, roll out training and development programs internally & externally to enhance employee skills and ensure continuous professional growth and promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

Performance Management

  • Support the implementation of performance management processes to drive employee productivity and growth.

Payroll administration

  • Oversees payroll processing, approvals and ensure payroll records are correct and meticulously kept. All personal income tax and SHUI matters are correct and executed in accordance with law.

HR Administration

  • Oversee HR administration tasks, including leave management, and personnel recordkeeping. Maintain accurate HR records, including personnel files, attendance, leave, and performance records.

HR Metrics and reporting

  • Prepare regular HR reports and HR metrics, analyze data, and provide insights for management review and to drive informed decision making.

Any other related duties as assigned by the reporting manager.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields; professional HR certification highly regarded.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience with at least 3 years in people managerial capacity, preferably from a multinational environment (MNC) or fast-scaling enterprise in Vietnam.
  • Strong knowledge in Vietnam's Labor Code, international HR standards and the best employment practices.
  • A Proactive, people-oriented leader who builds trust, anticipate employee needs, and address organizational challenges before they escalate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills, hands-on and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in HRIS software and data-driven HR metrics.
  • Fluent in both English and Vietnamese (written and spoken).
