Head of Wholesale Banking (VN Only)

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Management

• Develop, implement, and monitor the wholesale banking strategy aligned with the banks overall direction.
• Oversee key segments including Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Syndicated Loans, and related products.
• Establish business plans, allocate revenue and profit targets, and manage costs efficiently.

Business Development

• Build, maintain, and expand relationships with major domestic corporates, FDI enterprises, and international clients.
• Develop customer strategies, tailored products, and services for different corporate segments.
• Participate in negotiations, approvals, and execution of corporate lending, investment, and financial cooperation deals.

Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with regulations of the State Bank of Vietnam, Vietnam laws, and internal policies.
• Manage credit, market, and operational risks across the wholesale banking portfolio.
• Work closely with Risk Management and Legal divisions to control portfolio quality.

People Management

• Build and develop a strong team of managers, Relationship Managers (RMs), and product specialists.
• Provide training, coaching, and motivation to staff.
• Implement transparent and effective KPI/ performance management systems.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in Finance, Banking, Economics, or Business Administration; Masters/MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 1012 years of experience in banking, with at least 5 years in a senior management role in wholesale/corporate banking.
• Proven experience in working with both domestic corporates and international/FDI clients.
• Strong knowledge of corporate lending, transaction banking, trade finance, and investment banking products.
• Excellent leadership, strategic management, risk management, and client relationship skills.
• Fluent in English, with proven ability to work effectively in an international environment.
• Preferred profile: Candidates born in the 1980s (8x generation) dynamic, ambitious, and forward-looking.
