ABOUT THIS POSITION
Lead fundraising and capital management initiatives — from investment funds, banks, financial institutions, or strategic partners — to strengthen capital structure and expand its SME Financing portfolio
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Fundraising & Capital Raising (70%)
- • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy — identifying the right type of capital (debt, equity, hybrid), the right partners, and the right timing
- • Proactively source and build relationships with investors, including domestic and international funds, commercial banks, and family offices
- • Prepare all fundraising materials: investor deck, financial model, data room, and support term sheet negotiations
- • Collaborate with the Country Head and EXCO Philippines to align capital structure with the parent company's strategy
- Treasury & Capital Management (20%)
- • Establish a liquidity management framework tailored to a short-term lending model
- • Optimize cost of capital — ensuring funds raised are efficiently deployed into the loan book
- • Set up investor relations processes, including periodic reporting and covenant tracking
- Function Building & Systems (10%)
- • Design and build the end-to-end fundraising process: pipeline tracking, investor CRM, and reporting cadence
- • Propose and build the fundraising team once sufficient traction is achieved
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in: Investment Banking / Corporate Finance / Fintech Lending / Structured Debt / PE / Fund Management.
- Proficiency in English for finance: reading, writing, and presenting.
- Proven track record of independently closing at least one fundraising deal with institutional investors (debt or equity)
- Strong, relevant network with investment funds, banks, or family offices in Vietnam
- Highly independent mindset — able to set agenda, prioritize effectively, and operate without detailed guidance
- Solid understanding of financial modeling, including P&L, cash flow, and loan book dynamics
Nice to Have
- Background in fintech lending, commercial banking, or credit funds
- Experience working with cross-border investors (Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong)
- Understanding of Vietnam's fintech regulatory landscape — including sandbox frameworks and licensing requirements
- Experience building functions or teams from scratch in a startup or scale-up environment
- Established network with banks, investment funds, or financial institutions in Vietnam.
- Prior experience in fast-paced startup or fintech environments.
- Understanding of SME Lending, Invoice Financing, or Supply Chain Finance.
