Key Responsibilities
Investment Evaluation & Deal Structuring
- Evaluate investment opportunities (new factories, equipment, subsidiaries, greenfield/brownfield projects, strategic partnerships) and lead feasibility studies, business cases, and investment memos.
- Structure investment and financing deals (equity, debt, hybrid instruments) to optimize terms, risk allocation, and returns for the corporation.
- Lead deal negotiations and coordinate due diligence with Legal, Accounting, and external advisors for new investment transactions.
- Build and maintain robust financial models (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, sensitivity/scenario analysis) to support investment, fundraising, and strategic decisions.
- Perform company and project valuations for new investments, capital raises, and potential M&A targets.
- Continuously refine forecasting models to reflect market conditions, commodity price trends, and business performance.
- Manage and expand relationships with banks, investment funds, and financial institutions, domestic and international.
- Lead fundraising initiatives — working capital facilities, term loans, trade finance, bonds, or equity — to support growth and liquidity needs.
- Negotiate credit facilities, loan terms, and covenants; ensure timely renewal and compliance with banking agreements.
- Monitor and optimize the company's capital structure (debt/equity mix), funding sources, and cost of capital.
- Manage working capital, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity planning across the corporation and its subsidiaries.
- Recommend capital allocation strategies that balance growth investment, debt servicing, and shareholder returns.
- Support M&A activities, including target screening, valuation, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration planning.
- Advise on corporate structuring matters (subsidiary formation, restructuring, intercompany arrangements) to support the corporation's expansion strategy.
- Coordinate with Legal and external advisors on transaction documentation and regulatory approvals.
- Manage financial and currency risk, including FX exposure on export/import transactions.
- Develop and implement commodity price hedging strategies (pepper, coffee, cashew, and other agricultural products) to protect margins.
- Monitor market, credit, and counterparty risk; recommend mitigation measures to the Board of Management.
- Analyze financial performance, cost structure, and profitability by business line/product (pepper, coffee, cashew, spices).
- Prepare periodic financial and investment reports, KPIs, and dashboards for the Board of Management and investors.
- Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, loan covenants, investor/lender reporting requirements, and internal policies.
- Manage relationships and communication with investors, lenders, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate with Legal, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency in financial and investment matters.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Finance & Investment team.
- Work closely with Accounting, Sales, and Production to align financial planning with business operations.
- Prepare and present periodic financial and investment reports to the Board of Management and investors.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5–7 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investment, or FP&A, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in a trading, manufacturing, or export company is a strong advantage; experience working with investment funds/banks is preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good English communication (written and spoken) for working with international investors and banks.
- Proficient in Excel and financial modeling tools; knowledge of VAS/IFRS is a plus.
- Strong leadership, integrity, and strategic thinking; comfortable working directly with the Board of Management.
