Build and run the technology that keeps a Top 4 bank's customers safe

Fraud and scams are now among the biggest threats facing every bank and every customer. Our client's technology hub in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the most strategically important in the group, and it's where much of the response is being built.

We're looking for two Head of Engineering leaders to take real ownership of that work. This is true engineering leadership, with the build and the run in your hands, not a delivery-only remit.

Two roles, one mission

• Head of Engineering, Customer Enabling Technology. You'll lead engineering across Customer Onboarding, Financial Crime and Fraud, with one integrated roadmap. It's a fast-scaling, increasingly AI-driven organisation heading toward 200 people.

• Head of Engineering, Technology Fraud & Scams. You'll lead the engineering teams behind the bank's fraud and scams platforms, around 80 people. The role is strategic, and financial crime experience is a real advantage.

About you

• You're a software engineering leader first. You came up through engineering, and you're not a delivery, infrastructure or programme-management leader.
• You've led 50+ engineers, ideally 100+, with managers beneath you. You can talk about team size, budget and decision authority with real specifics.
• You've owned build and run in production, with strong grounding in Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD and Agile.
• You have a genuine passion for fraud, financial crime or customer onboarding. You've been hands-on with the technology and the decisions behind it, not just had it in your reporting line.
• You've worked in a large international bank or financial institution, or a comparable regulated environment. Banking, financial services or fintech is preferred rather than essential for an exceptional engineering leader.
• You've managed teams and outcomes across regions over a sustained period, not just collaborated occasionally with overseas colleagues.
• You have excellent business-level English and the gravitas to earn trust quickly in senior forums.
• You have a track record of staying and delivering, rather than moving on every year or two.
