QA Game Lead

(Onsite | Good at English Speaking, Written)

Working location: Elinext Building, 37A Phan Xich Long, Ward 3, Phu Nhuan District, HCMC

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Game QA Lead to lead a QA team and ensure effective testing and high-quality game releases. The role combines hands-on Game Testing with team leadership, QA planning, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of Game QA/Testers, ensuring effective task allocation and teamwork.
• Assign workload, monitor testing progress, and follow up on deadlines and deliverables.
• Mentor, support, and provide feedback to QA team members.
• Review test cases, bug reports, testing results, and overall quality of team deliverables.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, checklists, and test reports.
• Perform and oversee manual testing, including gameplay, UI/UX, localization, compatibility, and regression testing.
• Identify, reproduce, and track bugs with clear and concise reports.
• Identify testing risks and blockers and proactively coordinate solutions.
• Work closely with developers, designers, producers, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
• Support release readiness and ensure testing activities meet agreed quality standards.
• Help improve QA processes, testing practices, and team efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in Game Testing.
• Experience leading or coordinating a QA team, preferably 5–10+ members.
• Good understanding of team workload allocation, testing planning, and progress tracking.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting QA team members.
• Good English communication skills and the ability to write clear and concise bug reports.
• Passion for video games and a solid understanding of different game genres and player experiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify, reproduce, document, and communicate defects effectively.
• Proficient in creating test plans, test cases, checklists, and detailed bug reports.
• Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Redmine, or similar platforms.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and QA methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage changing priorities and resolve issues in a fast-paced development environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience testing mobile, PC, or console games.
• Knowledge of Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Experience with automation testing.
• Understanding of game development pipelines.
• Experience in LiveOps or online multiplayer games.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools.
