Job Description
Vietpay is a Vietnamese fintech company and a subsidiary of Tiger Financial Services Inc. (CSE: BANQ), a Canadian public company focused on owning, operating, acquiring, and growing fintech businesses and digital banks across Southeast Asia.
Through licensed banking partners, we help SMEs access business banking, payments, corporate cards, and related financial services. Our solutions include Smart POS, merchant acquiring, payment gateways, QR payments, and digital banking integrations. As we grow, we are looking for commercially driven leaders to build strong local teams and profitable branches.
Role OverviewYou will lead your branch as a business, taking full ownership of its profit and loss (P&L), sales growth, partner channels, daily operations, people, and customer relationships. This is a hands-on role: you will meet customers, develop partners, coach the team, and turn plans into measurable results.
You own branch execution within approved budgets and delegated authority. Central Technology, Product, Finance, HR, and Compliance teams provide specialist support. You coordinate their involvement and escalate decisions on unapproved spending, headcount, pricing exceptions, nonstandard contracts, and commitments beyond your authority for senior management approval.
Key ResponsibilitiesBranch P&L and Business Planning• Own branch revenue, expenses, profitability, budgeting, and forecasting; turn company objectives into monthly and quarterly business plans.
• Review results with Finance, explain variances, and act on revenue gaps, margin pressure, overdue receivables, and cost overruns.
• Manage staffing, operating costs, productivity, and resources within approved limits. Track direct branch costs separately from centrally allocated costs under agreed P&L definitions.
• Coordinate accurate invoicing and timely collections with Finance, and follow up overdue customer payments.
Sales Leadership and Business Growth• Lead new customer acquisition, account expansion, and revenue growth; participate personally in priority meetings, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
• Set clear sales expectations, coach the team, and review performance regularly. Pursue business that meets approved commercial terms and can be delivered profitably.
Partner Channel Development• Recruit, activate, manage, and grow referral, distribution, banking, and other commercial partners in your branch territory.
• Build relationships with local bank branches, business networks, and enterprise partners. Establish joint plans, train partners on approved offerings, and maintain regular follow-up.
• Track partner-generated opportunities, conversions, and revenue. Improve partner productivity and address inactive or underperforming relationships.
Sales Pipeline and CRM Management• Manage opportunities through defined stages: prospecting, qualification, proposal, negotiation, closing, and handover. Apply clear criteria for stage progression.
• Own CRM adoption and data quality. Ensure opportunities have an accountable owner, realistic value and close date, current stage, and a documented next action.
• Run regular pipeline reviews and sales forecasts. Monitor conversion, sales cycle length, pipeline coverage, deal aging, and forecast accuracy; use findings to coach staff and unblock stalled deals.
Branch Operations and Customer Delivery• Oversee daily operations, customer onboarding, deployment coordination, service quality, and issue resolution. Ensure clear handovers from sales to implementation and ongoing account management.
• Coordinate with central teams on customer requirements, capacity, and delivery commitments. Confirm scope and timelines with the responsible teams before committing to customers.
• Own branch-level escalations and follow-through; escalate material incidents, compliance concerns, and risks beyond delegated authority promptly.
People Leadership and Governance• Recruit within approved headcount, develop and coach the branch team, and manage performance with HR support.
• Set clear responsibilities and operating routines. Report branch financial results, pipeline, partner performance, customer issues, and corrective actions to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, approved commercial terms, and applicable compliance procedures; involve specialists in regulated or technical decisions.
Required Qualifications• Demonstrated leadership of a branch, business unit, or comparable commercial operation with P&L accountability and evidence of improving revenue and profitability.
• A strong sales record, including personally winning business and leading teams to achieve commercial targets.
• Experience building productive partner channels and managing relationships with business customers.
• Practical experience managing staged sales pipelines, CRM adoption, data quality, and sales forecasting.
• Financial literacy across budgets, margins, cost control, forecasts, collections, and performance analysis.
• Experience leading people and coordinating execution across commercial, operational, and specialist teams.
• Professional English proficiency is mandatory for meetings, presentations, negotiations, emails, and management reporting. Professional Vietnamese proficiency is required for local customers, partners, and team leadership.
Commercial and Operational KnowledgeYou should be able to connect branch economics, sales activity, partner productivity, and customer delivery. Working knowledge of SME needs, onboarding, service operations, and payment products is valuable. You will coordinate technical delivery with specialists; hands-on software development is not required.
Preferred Qualifications• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, merchant acquiring, POS services, SME financial services, or a comparable B2B business.
• Experience developing a local market, opening or scaling a branch, or building a sales and service team.
• Established relationships with local banks, merchant networks, distributors, or business associations in the relevant city.
• A relevant business, finance, or management qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
Leadership and Soft Skills• Commercial drive, ownership, and sound judgment, with the discipline to balance growth, margin, and customer commitments.
• Clear communication, negotiation, and relationship management across customers, partners, staff, and senior management.
• Structured problem solving, consistent follow-through, and a practical coaching approach.
What Success Looks LikeTargets will be agreed based on branch maturity, approved resources, and market potential. Performance will be assessed against the agreed P&L definitions and the following measures:

• Sales discipline: pipeline quality, conversion, deal progression, and forecast accuracy.

Why Join Vietpay• Build and lead a branch with direct accountability for its commercial and operational results.
