Job Description

Company Overview

A global organization operating within the furniture industry, focused on product development, vendor sourcing, supplier management, and supply chain operations across Asia. The company works closely with furniture manufacturers in Vietnam and cross-functional global teams to drive sourcing effectiveness, product quality, cost optimization, and successful product launches.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate furniture sourcing and product development activities with vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on design, materials, quality, cost, packaging, and timelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Vietnam-based furniture suppliers, monitoring project progress, sample development, production readiness, quality issues, and delivery risks.
  • Conduct vendor visits to evaluate product construction, workmanship, manufacturing capability, and corrective action implementation.
  • Review supplier quotations, analyze cost drivers, identify gaps, and support cost negotiations through data-driven recommendations.
  • Manage furniture projects from development through production readiness, tracking milestones, mitigating risks, and resolving issues related to design, materials, quality, capacity, packaging, and delivery.
  • Support sourcing, evaluation, and onboarding of new vendors, including factory capability, quality systems, compliance, and material sourcing assessments.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring commitment to cost, quality, delivery, and project objectives.
  • Monitor furniture industry trends, market conditions, material costs, and supplier capabilities in Vietnam, providing insights to support sourcing strategies and long-term planning.

Job Requirements


Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Design, Furniture Manufacturing, or a related field.

Experience


  • 4+ years of experience in the field (Supply Chain, Vendor Management, or Product Development).
  • 2+ years of experience in a sourcing or vendor-facing role within the furniture industry.
  • 1+ years of experience managing projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in related commodities/product categories.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of furniture materials, construction, finishing processes, packaging requirements, and manufacturing workflows.
  • Proven experience working with furniture suppliers in Vietnam on product development, costing, quality control, and production execution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, risks, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills in a multicultural business environment.
  • Ability to conduct factory audits, evaluate supplier capabilities, and drive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with strong ownership, learning agility, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective collaborator who can influence stakeholders, align diverse teams, and communicate complex information clearly.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and utilize resources efficiently to achieve business objectives.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Fluent in written and spoken Vietnamese and Mandarin.
