Finance Operations Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The Financial Operations Manager will lead the FinOps team to ensure financial control, operational risk mitigation, and commercial enablement. You will oversee trade-level profitability, manage complex credit and debt clearance, streamline cash flow forecasting with Sales and Ops, and serve as a key finance partner in strategic company-wide projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Leadership & Operational Execution:
• Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing FinOps team; allocate resources, set OKRs/KPIs, and supervise daily execution.
• Establish, refine, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for trade financing, disbursement, and debt settlement workflows.
• Complex Trade & High-Risk Case Management:
• Review, troubleshoot, and approve complex or high-value payment files, non-standard trade terms, and intricate import-export documentation.
• Serve as the escalation point for critical operational bottlenecks and difficult financial reconciliations.
• Advanced Credit Control & Receivables Housekeeping:
• Oversee comprehensive credit limit management for corporate clients and international suppliers.
• Drive proactive receivables housekeeping, structured debt clearing, dispute resolution, and bad-debt risk mitigation for high-exposure accounts.
• Commercial Alignment & Cash Flow Planning:
• Partner closely with Sales (Account Managers) and Operations to build precise rolling cash flow forecasts, working capital models, and revenue projections.
• Monitor BU and Sales AM profitability settlements, providing strategic insights to enhance commercial decision-making and profit margins.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategic Projects:
• Represent the Finance department in corporate strategic projects (e.g., ERP implementation, process automation, new product launches, and trade finance structuring).
• Drive automation and system enhancement initiatives with Tech and Ops teams to scale financial operations efficiently.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or Economics. Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, CFA) are highly preferred.
• Experience:
• 5+ years of total experience in Finance/Accounting/Auditing (Big 4 background strongly preferred).
• At least 2 years in a managerial or team lead capacity within fintech, import-export, supply chain finance, or fast-scaling corporate environments.
• Technical Expertise:
• Mastery in trade finance, import-export compliance (Incoterms, LC, customs procedures, FX risk, tax regulations).
• Strong expertise in VAS/IFRS, accounting standards, financial modeling, and advanced system architecture (ERP, BI tools, Excel).
• Leadership & Strategic Soft Skills:
• Proven leadership, delegation, and talent development capabilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving complex trade and financial edge cases.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills to align Sales, Ops, and Executive Leadership.
• High commercial acumen, risk mindset, and resilience under high pressure.
