FINANCE & ACCOUNTING LEAD/MANAGER

Company: Pebbles Vietnam LLC

Location: Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City preferred)

Reports to: General Manager, works closely with Founder

Desired start date: as soon as possible

Workload: 5 days a week, 1 office-day per week.

About Pebbles

Pebbles is a digital parenting platform building the future of early childhood support in Vietnam. We combine knowledge, AI, and a two-sided booking marketplace that connects families with trusted early childhood and family service providers. As we prepare for platform transactions, scale, and fundraising, we are looking for a hands-on Finance and Accounting Lead to build strong accounting and financial foundations and support the next stage of growth.

Role summary

This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on accounting and operations, with the scope approximately split as follows:

60% Accounting & Operations
10% Payroll & PIT
20% Finance, Policies & Internal Controls
10% Business & Management Support

You will ensure accurate accounting and compliance while building the processes, policies, and financial controls Pebbles needs as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Operations (60%)

Own day-to-day accounting operations and ensure complete and accurate financial records.
Manage AP/AR, payments, expenses, invoicing, bank and transaction reconciliation.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports.
Manage VAT, CIT, and other applicable taxes; ensure compliance with VAS and Vietnamese regulations.
Build accounting processes for platform transactions, including revenue, commissions, provider payouts, refunds, and reconciliation.
Coordinate with banks, payment partners, tax advisors, auditors, and relevant authorities.

Payroll & PIT (10%)

Manage monthly payroll, PIT, and related accounting entries.
Coordinate SHUI-related inputs and ensure consistency across payroll, accounting, and statutory records.

Finance, Policies & Internal Controls (20%)

Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, burn rate, runway, and Budget vs. Actual monitoring.
Develop Finance & Accounting policies, SOPs, and approval processes from the ground up.
Establish internal controls for payments, expenses, revenue, and reconciliation, and regularly review compliance.
Proactively identify financial and accounting risks and recommend improvements.
Support audits, due diligence, and fundraising when required.

Business & Management Support (10%)

Provide financial and accounting input for new business models and operational decisions.
Work cross-functionally to ensure business processes are properly reflected in accounting and financial controls.
Provide clear financial reporting and insights to the GM and Founder.

Who we're looking for

Must-haves

Chief Accountant Certificate (Chứng chỉ Kế toán trưởng).
5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in Vietnam.
Strong knowledge of VAS, Vietnamese tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
Experience with full-cycle accounting, closing, and tax compliance.
Ability to build accounting processes, policies, and internal controls from the ground up.
Fluent Vietnamese and strong professional English

Strong advantages

Experience with MISA accounting software.
Experience in tech, e-commerce, marketplace, or platform businesses.
Familiarity with transaction reconciliation, commissions, refunds, and provider payouts.
Experience with audits, due diligence, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
Experience working in a startup or a business where systems and processes are still being built.
