Finance & Accounting Group Leader

The Finance & Accounting Group Leader role oversees accounting, taxation, treasury, governance, risk management, and financial planning within an on-site trading environment. The position leads the Finance & Accounting team while providing financial and commercial insights to support business decisions, investments, and expansion plans.

Responsibilities

• Finance & Accounting
• Manage all accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, inventory, treasury, and month-end closing
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
  
  
• Tax & Compliance
• Oversee VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT, transfer pricing, and other tax matters
• Review contracts, transactions, and business initiatives from financial, tax, and compliance perspectives
• Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities
• Identify and mitigate tax and compliance risks
  
  
• Treasury, Governance & Risk Management
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, funding, and foreign exchange exposure
• Strengthen internal controls, corporate governance, and risk management practices
• Support process improvements and fraud prevention initiatives
  
  
• Business Partnering
• Provide financial and commercial insights to support business decisions, investments, and expansion plans
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, HR, Admin, and IT functions
• Act as a trusted adviser to management on business and risk-related matters
  
  
• Leadership
• Lead, coach, and develop the Finance & Accounting team
• Foster a high-performance culture, succession planning, and continuous improvement
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Chief Accountant Certificate
• CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred
• At least 10 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, treasury, internal controls, and risk management
• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
• Proven experience working with auditors, tax authorities, customs authorities, banks, and external advisers
• Familiarity with trading operations, import and export activities, logistics, procurement, and commercial risk management
• Experience working within multinational or Japan-based companies is highly preferred
• Good command of English
