Job Description
SOURCING:
- Material Sourcing and Quality Review: Source and select fabrics, pickings, trims that meet both design and cost requirements, ensuring alignment with the brand, lifestyle and sustainability vision. Participate actively to the seasonal sourcing strategy.
- Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with partner and new suppliers across Asia ensuring all compliance aspects., promoting clear communication and reliable adherence to timelines and workflow.
- Product/Cost Engineering: Guide new suppliers onboarded with cost engineering guidelines in support to Merchandising team.
- Conduct Market Research, Trend analysis and gather Suppliers Information to bring product opportunities and ensure designs are both commercially viable and innovative.
- Suppliers Show Room and Factory Visits based on Planned Sourcing Opportunities and Company Strategy.
- Sourcing KPI to keep track of Sourcing seasonal hit rate.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT:
- Design Concept and Development Requirements to be constantly aligned with Brazil Team regarding Brand Identity, Lifestyles, Seasonal Themes, and Target needs.
- Guide suppliers on product development explaining technical packs from Brazil team and solving suppliers question; ensuring that developments are aligned with price range of each brand.
- Product/Cost Engineering: Engineer development accordingly to approximate targets. Find solutions to meet the targets and give guidelines to suppliers when new developments exceed expected targets, in collaboration with Merchandising Team.
- Tech Pack Meeting Organization to ensure supply chain coordination and correct prototype allocation. Make sure that each product is allocated correctly accordingly to sourcing strategy pre aligned with Merchandising Team.
PRODUCTION APPROVAL:
- Approve lab dips, strike off, trims, PPS accordingly with the deadline in a FAST mindset.
- Sample Review & Fittings: Conduct sample fittings with Technical Team accordingly to deadline in a FAST Mindset and provide detailed technical/visual feedback to ensure samples meet brand standards before approval recorded on Centric System.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Suppliers to troubleshoot any quality or design issues during pre-production stage, ensuring final approvals meet Company, Brand and Lifestyle requirements.
- Production Monitoring: Participate to Final Meeting with Merchandisers to ensure all information are recorded properly on Centric System. Shares Visual comments with Suppliers, oversee production submission, ensuring timelines are met and final products match approved design specifications.
- Create and Provide Technical Record on Centric System to ensure clear design and technical requirements to Suppliers.
CROSS FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:
- Connection Role: Act as the primary liaison between the design team in Brazil and the Design Team in Asia and Suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on product.
- Collaborative Workflow: Workflow alignment and follow up for the brand with the team in Brazil working closely with Merchandisers, Technical, and Quality Teams to create an efficient design-to-production workflow.
- Process Control and Improvement: Contribute to developing operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality across design and production cycles. Coordinate and Supervise Design Assistant work, process and daily routine with DTP team.
- Organize Business Agenda for Sourcing & Support Brazil Design Team to create Agendas for Product Development Trips together with Merchandising Team.
- Participate to Negotiation Meetings giving technical and design support to Merchandisers and keeping record of quality, workmanship and design details on Centric System.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in apparel sourcing, product development, or garment manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, garment construction, costing, and production processes.
- Experience working with suppliers across Asia and managing product development from concept to production.
- Familiarity with Centric PLM system is a plus.
- Good command of English
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional and multicultural environment.
