Overview:
The Regulatory Reporting Executive manages critical reporting to the State Bank of Vietnam and the Central Bank of Malaysia. You will ensure financial compliance, handle account reconciliation, process General Ledger transactions, and support strategic finance projects.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory Reporting & Compliance
- Track and submit all statutory reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) to the State Bank of Vietnam accurately and on time to ensure zero penalty charges.
- Prepare reports required by the Central Bank of Malaysia for submission to the parent bank.
- Prepare financial statements and Capital Adequacy Ratio reports in accordance with State Bank of Vietnam regulations.
- Calculate financial provisioning based on regulatory standards and reconcile items such as collaterals, loans, and deposits.
- Review key financial ratios for compliance with external regulations and internal policies, escalating issues to the line manager or Head of Finance when necessary.
Accounting Operations & Reconciliation
- Reconcile account balances and notify relevant departments, ensuring there are no errors or imbalances, especially at the end of the month.
- Execute General Ledger bookings for daily transactions, advise other departments on correct entries, and handle any necessary manual adjustments.
- Carry out any other operational duties assigned by the Line Manager.
Project Implementation & Business Support
- Act as a key team member in projects led by the Finance department.
- Coordinate and support business front-end teams on matters related to accounting and General Ledger modules.
- Assist in the launch of new bank products and services by evaluating relevant accounting standards and statutory requirements.
Skills & Experience We Are Looking For:
- University degree or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 1 year of experience in banking accounting or financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of financial and banking products, alongside strong computer skills for accounting tasks.
- Effective written and alternative communication skills in English and Vietnamese.
